Some folks have run 35x12.50 w/ only a 3" bodylift....but you'll need a wheel backspace that is more set outside, as the 12.50s will have a tendency to rub. You are completely safe running a 33x12.50 metric equivilent....like a 305/70R16......on your current wheels. Here's a pic of my buddy's '02 ranger w/ a 4" superlift and 305/75R16's....and his wheels have a pretty darn close to stock backspace.....

DONT run 35s
5 reasons
1) looks like shizatt
2) dont even need to turn to lock to rub
3) probably cant even go up a curb w/o it rubbing, actually i couldn't.. it rubbed unless i went straight on
4) looks like poo
5) hit a pot hole & it rubs
that was my experience for the week i ran 35s on a body lift

That would be a more practical set up for it, but if he absolutely wanted to run 35's, the t-bar suspension would at least be better off for it.

hey sorry about not posting earlier. my trucks a 4x4 and i have stock 16 in rims on it now and was kinda thinking about keeping them. but i heard the difference between stock and after market rims was that with stock rims youll only get the tall narrow look from them. the pther reason i asked about the size of the tire was worrying about blowing thru bearings
