I need to get new tires for my truck. Im getting 31x10.5x15 on 15x8 wheels with 3.75 backspacing. I need to know which kind of tire to get tho, i like to go snow wheelin, but i also go through mud. i went down to les schwab and liked the look of the mud terrain radial sxt but i cant find much feedback off the internet. Has anyone ran these? if so how did you like them? I am open to any sudgestions for tires. Mainly will be on pavement, snow, and mud. My price range is 700 bucks. Thanks

 

Les Schwab is generally over priced, and generally you end up with non-name brand tires. They are supposed to pride themselves on service, but they broke more things on my truck than any other shop. They broke wheel studs on multiple occasions from over-tightening, and I usually had to wait 45+ minutes for tire rotations.
I had a set of the mud terrain sxt in 31x10.50s. They were "okay". I think I had to have holes patched 2-3 times in them. Mud packed in them real tight, they were "okay" in snow.

Go to somewhere like discount tire, look at Cooper STT mud terrains. It is a much better tire all around, works great in mud and snow, much stronger tire and better sidewall. Also look at BFG KM2s. Both of those will be great tires and probably close to the same price as schwabs.

 

My duratracs work good for all of the conditions you drive in and they also work killer for wheelin in the mall parking lots up on to curbs to look cool

How loud are those stt's on the street?
