Oppurtunity on new Wheels!! Guy offered me $400 for my Alcoas.
I had a guy that just offered me $400 for my Alcoas. He responded to my WTT for MT Classics ad that i had on a few sites. He said that he wanted to buy them. I'm really thinking about doing this! That way i can just go buy brandnew MT Classics?.
If i decide to do it, i would have to wrok out some kind of transaction though because i dont have $$ to buy rims first so he takes a risk if he buys them like that (I of course would be good on my part and ship them to him) but if I buy wheels first and then sell them, I take the risk of him going back on his word and not buying the wheels. So someone has to take that risk, and I prefer it not to be me...lol. Im pricing new rims now to see if i can get some in the $400-$450 range..
EDIT, i can get the Satin Black ones for $496, that includes everything but lugs but said if i went with chrome, he'd throw those in. Dk if i want to go that route or polished though...dang it, back to square one again! he's checking on polished MT Classics now...

They are aluminum and are also 1" wider which I love!! I want that wider stance. Also, I thick polished would look better! These are the same thing as Mickey Thompson.

If you're looking for a similar wheel to the Mickey Thompsons that are around a $100 a rim check out Pro Comps. I have the 1079's like these
I think they ran a little over $100 a wheel about $105 -110. The 1069's are similar just don't have the fake bead lock look. They were about $95 a piece.

UPDATE:
the guy emailed me back and said:
I don't think so, I'd rather keep them! It's no big deal if I sell them or not because I love them. He's the one that wanted them. Yeah you can find great deals on Alcoas depending on shape; they usually range in the $300-$400 area., mine happen to be in almost mint condition as well as all of my centercaps...See:
and as to this:
I NEVER offered these for $300 plus shipping to ANYONE. I even double checked all the sites i frequent (RF,FRF, RPS, TRS, and GE)
the guy emailed me back and said:
Hey Scott, sorry the delay but i work afternoons so my schedule is a little crazy. Anyways I was browsing some other forums and seen you offered these rims for 300 plus shipping. Now if you can honor that price, we can make something happen. Im hoping we can still split the shipping

call him out on it... just say "sorry, i don't remember posting that, which site did you see it on?" politely... he's bluffing, thinking you might have posted it for 300 somewhere... notice he didn't mention the exact site in his e-mail? i've done this before when buying things... it's a mind game... if you didn't say 300 do not go to 300, unless he can prove where you said it... and even then, i would pull a "sorry, that was a typo" problem solved

take these, sell your alcoas for 400! they look almost identical, except these ones remind me of drag racing so hardcore! (probably because my old drag car had these up front)

Just gotta be patient man. You will find some great deals out there. Hell, I just picked up a set of 15x8 Eagle 100 series in black for 180 bucks. They are litteraly 3 months old, and I know that for a fact because I found the manufacture date on them. The guy I bought them off of didn't like them, and took them off after a month. He bought them for over 400.
Then I turned around and sold my stock aluminum for about the same price.
