that means that 8.5" wide rims fit perfect but 8" may be too skinny for the tire and it may not fit right

I knew/figured that 8.5 was the 'perfect' size, but I was wondering if mine would work. I'm guessing it's too rough, but wondered if anyone here knew exactly.
