Mickey Thompson Classic wheels

So I got the Cragar Soft 8's because they were pretty much the kind of look I was going for, but I think they're too heavy and would rather go back to a aluminum wheel.

I put up some Want to trade ads online and I have been offered a few trades such as a set of American Racing Outlaw II's, or a set of these rather nice Mickey Thompson Classic's with simulated beadlock.

I'll be having these tires, 31x10.5x15 Cooper Discoverer STT's mounted on whatever wheels I end up with.

Anyone here run the Mickeys? The ones the guy has offered me have a 3.75" backspace and my Cragars have a 4" backspace.

Or, what are you opinions on these wheels? Think they would look good on my truck?

All thanks to this site, whatever new wheels I end up with will be the 3rd set of wheels on my truck in a month.

That's the plan. If that falls through I will either take the Outlaws, or I may just keep the Cragars. I like the look of the cragars and think they suit my truck, but to trade them for those Mickeys I think is totally worth it.

I'm pretty sure they do, I think I saw them on a wheel site. The ones I am offered are 15x8 with 3.75" backspacing.

Google 'em. They also make them without the simulated beadlock and IMO, they look much nicer without it.

I have Procomp 1069's, they are the exact same thing just cheaper and say Procomp instead of M/T. Procomp doesn't make ones with a simulated beadlock exactly like those tho.

How is x8 too wide? What size tire are you going with?

I liked my Classics, I want something different now though.

I honest thing 15x8 on 11.5's are perfect. I've seen 11.5's on 10's, and they look good too, but it might be pushing it. Anything smaller, just makes the truck look oddly tall and unproportional

You should look at the KMC Enduro wheels, lots of prerunner guys run them and they are sold in 15x7 too.

well when my price is a free straight trade and I just have to pay for tire mounting, getting real Mickeys is a pretty good deal.

I read the post too fast, I thought you were saying you wanted to buy a set. Anyway, good luck finding someone willing to trade.

quick question guys... When I sold my stock rims and tires, I have the guy my lug nuts too. When I got the Cragars, I had to get different nuts.

Can I use stock lugs with these Mickeys or is there a certain lug I have to get? I need to find a set of nuts by Friday as I am picking the wheels up on Saturday.

I'm almost tempted to offer to trade you my wheels. I have Eagle ALloy 186's which are the equivalent of MT Classic 2's
