Hub or lug centric spacers....AGAIN...

OK, so I have read all of the posts until my eyes bleed and I am still confused.
I have BFG AT 31x10.5's on 15x7 Eagles. Truck is 07 2wd. I don't hit the dirt much and when I do its just camping and not anything heavy. I just want the freak'n tires to stick out a little more, 1"-1 1/2".

So, some experience and advice would be seriously appreciated.

Hub centric or lug centric spacers?

Thanks!

If you 'have to' use spacers - Everyone says hub centric is 'better'.

One more question- hub centric spacers have a ring that the wheel is supposed to sit on, but it looks like the outside diameter of it is larger than the hub. How is the wheel, which fits on the hub supposed to fit over a smaller ring? Am I missing something?
