Eagle Alloys 185's

Hey guys,

I just bought some Eagle Alloys 185's for my new tires (BFG AT T/A KO's in 31x10.5R15) and was wondering if anyone has any experience with these in the winter.

I've heard of using pam spray to protect them from salt in the winter, or would something like turtlewax be better?

They are black painted aluminum (not polished aluminum).

Thanks,
Frank

Nice I have the old version of those wheels, some pam would work but a good coat of wax every month will be better to keep the clear coat in good shape.

great wheels, I broke one of mine so I am swapping them out but I really like the wheels.

Yeah, I'm off to crappy tire tonight to get some mothers wax, applicator pads and some microfiber cloth!

I just got some of those, I haven't put any wax on mine. We haven't had a whole lot of snow though

Yeah, I just waxed them. Was kinda cold, but I think that did the trick. I'll re-wax every month to make sure they're protected.

lol thanks! I've been getting nothing but compliments on the truck. I really like the black on black wheel/rim and red truck. I think the silver adds a nice break to it.

So driving today, the TPMS light went off in the dash. I now realized that the shop (as well as myself) completely forgot about them. Now I'm stuck with the annoying light since my tires are all the way in Toronto and I'm in Sudbury...

I checked online and it would be $400 through the dealer for new bands and sensors. F that noise.
