I don't know if this is a local thing here in Wichita or nationwide sale but today my local Firestone store is having a "you pay what we pay" tire sale. I just got back from there and had a set of Firestone Destination LEs put on my wife's Escape for $535 with tax. That's mounted, road hazard and lifetime rotate and balance. I saved $60 just by waiting till today as I got a quote of $595 for the same package last Sunday.

While I was there, I priced out a set of 255 70R 16 Bridgestone Dueler Revo 2s. He set me up mounted, road hazard, and lifetime rotate and balance for $655 out the door. Only problem was they were not available in town so mine will arrive on Monday and I'll get them installed on Tuesday. My last quote on these was $805 plus tax so I saved about $200 just for waiting.

Hope this sale is nationwide so you guys can get in on a pretty good deal if your in need of tires. FWIW, I got 55000 out of my original Goodyear Wrangler RTS tires but am looking forward to a more secure ride in the wet with the Stones.
