Black with chrome center caps

I decided that since the purpose of my ranger was to save money, that I shouldn't spend money on new rims. What I decided was to paint the stock steelies black, and get a chrome center cap. I thought this was a cheap way to go until I saw how much the OEM center caps go for. YIKES!

Is there a place to buy the OEM center caps cheap? I checked ebay, you can't find a set for under 50 bucks. Is there some alternative to the OEM style?

here it is current, you can see why I am desperate for a new look with the wheels. (funny side note : In the LMC truck catalog, they want about $70 a piece for these goofy hub caps that I currently have. Unreal.)

when i got my black steelies, the tire shop had an array of center caps for me to choose from. i chose the smooth chrome ones, nice simple look.

Because those aren't center caps, they are a one piece hubcap. Under them, there is a grey steel wheel that shows ugly hubs.

You can rpi them off a ranger, explorer, or crown victoria. The crownvic ones are the ones that come stock on your XL wheels....cop car wheels have them. There's a couple differnet styles.

Here's an idea of what those wheels look when painted black and center capped......

Just so you know....I don't think aftermarket ones that tire shops carry...i don't think they'll fit stock rims.....
