Well I think I'm going to start saving up for some new wheels, tires, and a Fabtech 3.5 lift. I was curious if anyone is running...

32" tires with a 3.0 and 3.73 gears? How well does it run? Will I still have decent pickup? I know I will be losing a good amount of power. I also have a manual so if someone else has this setup with a manual let me know how it feels.

If anyone has any input about Fabtech/Procomp or any good place to order them from that would be appriciated as well.

Bryan, BJV11 has 33" tires and a lift, but I'm not sure what gears he's running. He has a manual too, so hopefully he'll see the thread of you can PM him.

Four wheel parts seems to be good place to obtain either lift, just remember that they can wheel and deal, do not pay their listed price. They can install for you too if you want. If I ever get a lift, it would be the pro-comp spindles, because 1. they don't widen the front tire track and 2. they do not have the contact issues with 15" rims (I got 16" rims, but still would rather be safe than sorry)

Edit: Just checked his cardomain:

Yep, he's got 3.73's... but there is a note saying he wants 4.56's...

Thanks for the replies. I will wait and see if he sees this thread today and if he doesnt I may just PM him. I will probably just do all the installs myself. I'm lucky enough to have a friend with a lift and tire machine at his house so I can get everything done there.

Again thank for your replies.

Heheh yeah, its his dads job. He sells and rebuilds all the automotive equipment for all of Oklahoma, most of Arkansas, Texes, and some of Missouri, some of Kansas. He puts in everything you see at a car dealership. All the lifts, every tool, every light pole. Big money moving through his offices...

I am running 33's with the 3.0L and 3.73's with a manual tranny....its a little sluggish off the line but once you get it rolling it has no problem gettin where it needs to be and top end SUCKS....dont expect to jump through traffic going over 70 on the interstate cause it will take you a little while to get to 80 unless you are going downhill

Looking for tow hitch to buy for mid nineties ranger

Ive got 32's with a 3.0 and 3.73 gears...

It got noticably slower after I got the 32's, and yea even with 32's its got terrible passing power on the interstate, but i'm not driving a sports car so it doenst really bother me. Also, with the 32's, I cant even chirp the tires from a stop in a straight line, even with power braking....

yeah i have 373s and 33"s and 5 spd, it sucks dude, plan on regearing to a better ratio, try to go with 456 but at least 410.... 456 will be about the same as stock dia tires and 410 gear ratio, it will make it soooooooo much better off the line, and much better gettin up to speed on teh highway and that, also it will help spinning the larger tires

oh and by the way, dont get 32"s, they look to small with the fabtech/procomp lift i cant inagine 31's like some of u guy r running, gbgary has 32"s and i have 33"s and last time i checked he wishes he got 33"s

Alright, thanks for all the input. It will take a while before I get everything together, but I'm already saving for it all. I will probably wait to re-gear a while after I get the tires and lift. I would have to be dropping another 400 or so to re-gear wouldnt I? Anyway, thanks again for all the input

I'm probably going to run 4.10s T/Lok and 275/40zr18s; I'm sure I'll like it quite a bit.

Are you sure you want 4.10 gears for the 3.8L? Seems pretty tall to me. On a 4.6 I would say do it but you aren't OHC. A 275/40 18 is a pretty tall tire, I am not sure if that will fit on there. I know a 275/40 17 will, my Cobra had them on there when I got it.

my friend is running 315/50/17's on the rear, the same hieght as the 275/40/18, so yea, it will fit, but it will slow you down.

4.10's on the 3.8 IS a tall gear . what rear do you have? the 8.8?
