35" Mud-Terrain or All-Terrain?

And also John, Cooper is expanding into Asia too.
International Tire Operations
Net sales for Cooper's international tire operations were $70 million in the second quarter of 2005, an increase of more than 11 percent compared to the $63 million in sales achieved in the second quarter of last year. The increase was driven by a 4 percent increase in unit sales, the positive impact of improved product price and mix, as well as favorable foreign currency exchange rates.
Operating profit for Cooper's international tire operations was $2 million for the quarter compared to $4 million in the second quarter of last year. Expenses as a result of the startup of the Company's operations in Asia and higher raw material costs were the most significant factors in the lower profit margin. These were partially offset by the higher overall unit sales volume in the Company's European operations.
For the first six months of 2005, net sales for Cooper's international tire operations were $136 million, an increase of 6 percent over the first half of 2004. Operating profit was $1 million in the first half of 2005 compared to $7 million in the same period a year ago.

Ok, lol...
Don't get me wrong I love my Swampers, but I want some bigger tires anyway. If I can I'll run a 38x12.50x15, but I want a tire that is a little easier on the road. But I'll take a 35" any way...
Question #2...
Which tire would you prefer, anyting that comes to yall's mind that you would do if you have the money for it, but not something that's like $300 a tire though...

And I think most all that say they are getting the best product when they buy imports are full of it -- especially in regard to tires. They just want the cheapest price, even if it hurts American industry. Every man for himself, right. It's what's very wrong with this country and you guys are part of it.
All of you who do that are pretty much shortsighted idiots in my book -- but since you don't care I feel comfortable telling you that because you can't possible be offended -- you don't have the capacity for it I don't think...

Getting to you isn't it? Conscience maybe? Now you blame the workers for your greed. Nice.
Did you know American productivity is higher than almost all other countries? The reason for cheap goods from overseas is low wages, no benefits, work rules, or safety regulations. Not American laziness.
Now, I don't know how YOU work...maybe you're judging others by yourself? Don't know...

John, we understand, support american. but ill say this like ive said before, I want the best product, if its not american than fine by me, but if is GREAT! I respect your passion for the subject, but give it a rest a bit. You dont have to throw it out there everytime! Im not a fan of cooper tires. Ive heard they are good buit they are not my thing, neither are nittos, or maxxis for that matter. That just the way it is. I like what I like because I think its the best. You like cooper, just say hey coopers are awesome and they are american made which is a great plus...
I still love you though. You just so adorable!
and getting to zach isnt gonna make him buy american, its just gonna start another dumb fight...

It doesn't have to be Cooper's, silly, Even BFG's are still made here mostly.
I'm probably not giving it a rest because I really dislike the whole freedom-without-responsibility thing. You guys are going to look back on what I said here in 10 to 20 years and wish you'd listened. Loss of manufacturing will change America in ways you haven't figured out -- but sadly you will.
Individual responsibility to keep the country ramped up industrially is all that's going to save it from the "one world free traders" who just want to make bigger profits.
The sad thing: you've all bought into their marketing to the point where you are so blind you CAN'T see how you are doing damage.
So, ignore me if it bothers you -- but I'll be posting, probably in bursts here and there.
Even I get tired of me sometimes -- though it wears off...

I am partial to BFG, have had nothing but success from them.
I was looking around a bit and M/T has some decent tires in differnt tread patterns as well. Have you checked them out at all?

I don't care. I feel like talking about the important issue of where they come from. Are you saying it's NOT an important issue?
Too many of you IGNORE it time and again -- I'm just reminding you. Ignore it if it bothers you and just do what you want...ultmately that's what we all do.
The trick is to decide what you want based on factors other than just acquiring your toys for the lowest price.
Edit: BTW, I would have only posted ONCE in each topic I went into, but someone invariably wants to "discuss" it and refute the idea that it's important, usually with the argument that what they want is most important, or price. Then it's a back and forth thing. I don't "amplify" it unless answered.

So obviously you know its gonna get made into a big deal everytime, then why not tone it down a bit? PM the guy who you are trying to convince. Its just starting to seem a little provoked.
I tell you what, Im much more worried with how bad bush is messing up affecting us in years coming then the once so often that I dont buy american. America was built on capitalism and thats what its staying with. How do you know its not a good change though john? with the reduction of blue collar jobs, hopefully there will be a surge of people going to school more. Won't that raise the bar for america a little? If we can have more high end jobs than any other coounrty and outsource, wouldnt that be ideal? Maybe I dont know how the american manufaturing loss effect, but fill me in? what am I going to be so shocked about? Im sure its nothing we wont be able to deal with. Look at gas compared to 20-30 years ago. Tell someone that gas will be 3.00 at this time and it would have shocked the hell out of them. it just happens...

No, blue collar jobs BUILT the middle class. Guess what? With the demise of the blue collar workforce, the gap between the rich and poor has actually GROWN.
So, you blame BUSH for why you buy foreign imports and help decimate American industry? I never realized the guy had such power! Most of you call him an idiot.
So when everyone goes to school, where do they work? As a doctor? Banker? Don't you realize you have to serve people who have money to spend? What happens when fewer and fewer people make it to that economic level?
Your faith in SOMEONE ELSE other than you having to deal with our problems is touching. I'm sure many fallen civilizations comforted themselves with similar thoughts.
It's just ONE MORE WAY you try to make it somebody else's deal when its the buying decisions of people like you that affect where goods get made. Buy American and the big money folks you love to hate (but whose products you suck up massively) will invest in American companies. Buy cheap foreign goods, and they'll send the money (and the jobs) over there.
How do you know it's a good change, based on the information I just cited? You WANT it to be, and feel uncertainty "excuses" you to continue to suck down foreign goods at everyones expense.
Practice this phrase, you or your children will need it: "Do you want fries with that?"

Anyway, still you havent outlined whats going to change so much and whats gonna make me have to work at McDonalds. The gap between the poor and rich...hmmm... Who has been in office the last few years? and who does his tax cuts benefit?? And who did HE outsource oil to because he is in love with it so much???
and BTW when I say him messing america up so bad, im not talking about him forcing me or influencing me to buy non american, Im talking about him being a bumbling idiot, who Is driving our economy into the sh!thole that it has been. And the f*cked up thing is that wartime is when we should surge economically.
