1997 Ranger & 235 75 R15

Hey Folks,

I took a look at the Maximum Tire Size sticky to try and help myself, but I was unsure if I was reading things right...

I have a 1997 Ford Ranger 2WD 4cyl

My question is, on the door it says my standard tire size is 235 60 R15, but I saw a good deal on some 235 75 R15, will these tires fit and not have any negative effects (harm the truck in any way, kill my mileage)?

Thanks for all of your help. I am a newb when it comes to this stuff!

you will be going from a 25.62 inch tall tire to a 28.87 tall tire. it wont hurt your truck in anyway way it might be a little slower off the line but your highway mileage should be the same

My old '97 had 235/60's stock and I put 235/75's on it. I didn't have any issues with it, other than the speedo wasn't accurate anymore.
