15" tires on 2006 Ranger Sport

Does anyone know if I can put 15" x 10" rims on my Ranger Sport without rubbing on the calipers? I have factory 16" x 7.5" on now.

I had 15x10s on my '07. Caliper clearance should be fine but if your truck isn't lifted you'll likely have some other issues making them fit!

Just realized you're from London... where abouts? I sold my Ranger to a guy in the east end just off Huron.

Thanks for the tip. The truck is lifted about 6 inches. I live near the aquatic center just off wonderland.

You should be good to go... all I had to do was trim my lower valence and everything else cleared fine.

You're not far from where my sister used to live then... she had a place on Lawson for a while.

If your truck came stock with 16's You may have problem, but I think that was only for 2010 and 2011. I know my truck cant run 15's or the brake caliper will hit the rim.Best thing to do is see if you can put a 15 on and go from there.

I'm having trouble finding 15" rims that are 9 - 10 inches wide that I can try out. I don't want to spend the money on buying a set to find out they don't fit. I want to put 35 x 12.5 tires on.

What part are you worried about not fitting and what wheels are you interested in?

I'm concerned that the smaller 15" diameter will rub on the brake calipers. I want to put on 35 x 12.5 x 15 with a 15 x 9 or 10 rim.

I'm sure you'll be fine on the calipers. 15" wheels came stock on these trucks... I had four different sets of 15" wheels on my truck in the time I owned it.

What year was your truck and was it a Sport with 16 inch factory wheels?

If you have any leads on the tires and rims I'm looking for let me know. I'm new to the London area. Are there any good trails around here?

My truck was a 2007 FX4 Level II. It had 15" wheels from the factory, but all the Ranger brakes are the same size around those years.

I don't know of too many trails around London... I moved north of the city shortly after buying my truck so I didn't do too much exploring around there!

I'll let you know if I come across anything... take a look around jeepkings.ca. There's always sets coming and going on there in Ontario!

2008 is possibly when the larger size calipers came into effect. My 08 got the larger discs up front and I have 16" wheels stock.

My buddy lives near Adelaide and fanshaw park.

They never changed after that split year with the two different sizes in 2003-ish... not sure the exact year but everything 4x4 after that stayed the same on the front.

I am pretty sure my discs are either 10" or 11". With the caliper and clearance of my 16 there isn't a lot of room in there. Just to be safe, I'd go with the factory size. I understand cost and sizes come into play but at least you know it'll fit and you won't be stuck with a set of rims that doesn't fit.

Why not find a cheap spare from a j/y or see if anyone has a 15" set for sale and go test fit? It'll answer your question for sure.

2003+ had larger brakes and haven't changed since then. The only change in the rangers brakes after 2003 came in 2011 when they did rear disc.

My truck came factory with 16" wheels, has the larger brakes, and i'm running a 15" wheel with no problems. 16" wheels will screw you when you pick a larger tire, usually they're all E-rated and will ride like the truck is on bricks

My truck also came with 16's stock, but run 15's with no problems.
