$300 dollar rims and tires! Pics!

Well I finally got rid of the Crap years and the ugly steel wheels for the explorer. It was more of neccessity than any thing else. I am going home for the fourth weekend in a orw and I was terrified that the good years would let go last trip. anywayI got a set of 96 Limited wheels for $100 and a set of brand new tires for $200 mounted and balanced. The rims are almost brand new and the tires are generic something or others but have more aggressive tread than the Good years and how can they be any worse? Even if they are they are $50 a piece/
No more bulging tires. I am officially Good year free.

It was raining so That is all you get for pics. I wasn't leaving the porch with my camera.

It may not be your cup of tea and if it was the ranger I sure wouldn't have done it but it sure classes up the explorer better than before.

Good then I know who to sell them to when I am done with them!

Seriously, I am starting to like this thing. It has taken some getting use to, but it is the best car investment I have ever made. 25 thousand miles and less than $1000 total into repairs and a $1500 initial purchase price. I am thinking of cleaning it up a pit and trying to make it more presentable. We'll see what happens. I definitely need to get rid of those rusty running boards. Maybe this weekend as I'll be in Minnesota visiting my air tools.
