Who's got a Superlift w/ coilovers?

Little history: Have an '03 XLT 4x4 and have wanted the RCD for awhile, now that i have the money, it's discontinued. Working with two shops to lift my truck and 1 other option.

#1 - Wants to install Superlift kit, then build an engine cage and mounts to install fox 2.0 coilovers w/ resivoirs = $3500. (good offroad shop/most money-safest option)

#2 - Wants to intall spindles, then do a complete fab to install king 2.0 coilovers (no engine gage, just beefed up mounts) = $2500 and promo my truck. (great fab shop/not many truck jobs/promo-gamble option)

#3 - Buy used (1 year old) RCD front conponents = $1500 + install. (good kit/cheap/used-unknown option)

Any ideas, insight, coments, suggestions, preferences, etc... glady accepted.

DECISION WILL BE MADE AND WORK WILL START MONDAY!

Get the used RCD and pizza and a 30 pack and have your buddies help...alot cheaper than paying for install.

Dude go with option 3. Then you can get 35's with the money left over!

How much room is there on the RCD kit to upgrade the coilovers? what's the max size coilover that could fit?

You can upgrade the coilovers from Bilsteins to Fox's and upgrade the coil spring rate, but you won't be able to fit a larger diameter than what comes with the kit. Its a tight fit as is. How hard are you on the truck that you need a larger diameter coilover?

^^ yeah just the spring rate changes and if you buy the used kit (which I'm assuming is from the guy on here) he already has 750's which is plenty from what I hear.

I'd do 3 as well. If you're talking about the kit on sale here it already has upgraded coils.

MudSlanger has C-O's on his superlift...he's got a build thread in the project logs section of the site.

I vote #3....brace that triangle diff drop, upgrade the coils to 750's or 800's, and i think i'm missing something else that should be done to a RCD kit...idk what though. brain fart.

Option 4. Buy a new superlift kit for $1200-1300, buy some 35s since it looks like you've got a BL already, and be done with it. Have the whole shebang for less than your custom options without tires, and have a brand new, VERY durable kit that you can wheel the **** out of without worrying about sagging coilovers or breaking brackets.

I paid $1275 for mine. 4WP price-matched an online vendor. Might still have the invoice around somewhere back home.
