Are the stock wheels 16x8's?

The stock wheels on an 01 Ranger with the offroad package....I know they're 16's, but they're not 16x8's are they? and if not, will 16x8's fit without the tires rubbing?

they are 16x7

16x8 should work depends on the backspacing and such.

16x8 with 3.75 back spacing will fit if you remove the front mudflaps... i think you should be able to stick with 4.25 b/s and have no rubbing at all

if you are buying new wheels and tires consider a 15" wheel
then when you pick a tire the choices and the prices will be better

15x8 will also fit, I have a set of american eagle alloys 15x8 and they fit, I still have my 16x7 tear drops to.

the speedo isnt affected by rim size... its affected by tire size

what in gods name you talking about. if you put a 15" with the same overall size tire you have now the speedo DOES NOT CHANGE....BUT if you put a bigger tire on the 16 OR the 15 then you have now the speedo WILL CHANGE....and there is no piont to buy a 16x8 wheel if your keeping your stock size tire... plus tires for a 15" wheels ARE ALOT cheeper and there is better size selection on 15" wheels then 16" wheels

ok, here's the deal....chapter 1 lol......
ive got an 01 ranger xlt stepside with the off road package. id like to do a 3" BL and put some 15 x 8's underneth with a slightly taller tire....a 33 perhaps. But sooner or later, its gonna be the everyday driver, and i drive approx 65 miles a day on the highway. so i was thinking maybe it would be more economical to keep the same size wheel and get a slightly wider tire? zabeard, the truck on your avatar, its got a 3 in BL and what size tires? those are the stock wheels arent they? thats the look im trying to get but with a slightly wider tire.

ok time to take you to class here sit down...

alright Zach's truck does have a body lift on with his stock wheels and 265x75x16(32x10.5x16)

ok now I PERSONALLY would recommend you to get a 15x8 wheels with 3.25Back Spacing. with a 33x12.5x15 tire. THIS will be a larger tire and wider stance and will look great. also your speedo will just be off about 4-5mph slower then it is now. Here is a pic of a older member he has 15x10 so they stick out a little more then a 15x8 will, about 1.25" more
