i do not have the quick disconnect sway bar links yet, but i will have them by spring, , they look great, and really help with flex in the front, , i drove mine with no front bar for a while with the t bars, but so far , no time unhooked with the coilovers, but it will help,

and hey , living in Canada, i have no choice in the rusties department, they just dump it all over our roads all winter, ,

I've been considering them.

That's one of the reasons I like New Mexico, they don't go crazy with salt.

Some do and some don’t, but I recommend that you at least install limit straps. Limit straps can easily be bolted on in 10 minutes when you do the conversion. Bump stops are a little more involved as you have to fabricate a mount. Ideally, you should have both, especially if you “wheel” a lot.

KLC, help me to understand this. Isn't th purpose of the Coilover to replace the torsion bars for a smoother ride on/offroad? Then how do you pair that with a superlift that uses torsion bars?

Also since I already have a 3" bl this kit will put me at what 5" inches or so?

You completely remove the torsion bar set-up and front shocks. You also don't use the torsion bar related components that come with the Superlift. The coil-over's mount using a bracket that bolts to the shock bucket and one that bolts to the LCA.

So you take off:

Torsion Bar Cover Plate and Bolts
Torsion Bar Adjuster
Torsion Bar
Torsion Bar Insulator
Stock Shocks

Parts of Superlift you don't put on:

Torsion Bar Drop Brackets
Compression Stop Brackets
Superlift Shocks

You should easily get more than 5 inches.

Hello everyone. I'm considering getting the 4" superlift and then getting the conversion. My question is when you install the new coil-overs do you use some of the superlift pieces or can you opt out of the superlift and just get the coil-overs and still achieve the 4-5" lift? (of course i'll have to lift the rear end to match that some how but that shouldn't be to hard)
thanks

you need the whole kit to achieve the lift. only thing you wont be using is the t-bar drop brackets, and shocks in front, with using the coil overs. coil overs alone will not give you 4-5" of lift

I believe Nick is recommending a 5.0" stroke coil-over for a stock suspension set-up. The coil-over's are custom made for the Ranger application.

Most go with 750lb. or 800lb. coils on a Ranger. You might want to go with 800lb. coils with a Sport Trac. I would call Nick at Off Road Warehouse to confirm what you need. Below are the recommendations for a Ranger with a Superlift.

2.0" X 6.0" Fox Emulsion Coil-Over

12" long 2.5" I.D. Coils (Eibach or Hypercoil)

Keep in mind the coil-over's are custom made for the Ranger application so you can't just buy any 6.0" travel coil-over.

I think the shock stroke would be the same stock/superlifted. But the overall length of the shock will be longer, right???

No, a 5.0" stroke is recommended for a stock set-up, and 6.0" stroke for use with a Superlift. Wheel travel is not relative to shock stroke or travel. It is apples to oranges and can't be compared. For example, you can have a 12" travel coil-over and have 30" of wheel travel.

I'm no ace in this department but could it be possible that that extra 1/2" stroke directly related to the taller compressed and extended shock measurements? Bi-product of making the shock body taller?

I just priced out the coilovers and springs they come to $524.00 without shipping that i think is a really good price. Im used to paying $2500.00 for shocks and springs for a Dirt late model.
