Lowering splash
ok boys and girls I am having an interesting time just trying to find a good set of 2" lowering coils for my splash all i want is like 1-2" lower in the front and about 2-3" in the back thats all no more no less.
now i have seen the DJM lowering kit for the 89-97 rangers here http://www.djmsuspension.com/Product...angerParts.htm
but that has new I-beams and all this crap and its a 3-4 drop that is WAY to much drop then i want I live in mich and that would be horrible around here.
now if any one knows of a GOOD place to find this stuff i am trying to locate please let me know thanks

well if you get 2" drop coils for the front then it will only drop you 1" because your truck is already 1" lower than a regular ranger in the front and i belive 1 or 2" lower in the back. So 2" drop coils in the front. Then in the rear you could either do a hanger flip (2-3") or a flip kit(6") and then lifting shackles(3" total drop). The hanger flip is real cheap, but the flip kit isnt much more and the trucks seem to handle better when the axle is above the spring pack in my experince. Plus doing a hanger flip is a pita in my experinces. ask away with your questions i researched lowering ALOT when i had my first truck and when i was being stupid and lowered my truck.

no buying the hanger flip. the hanger flip consists of griding off and punching out the rivits that hold your current rear leaf hangers on and then bolting them back on upside down (with the stock shackles any other ones wont work) with grade 8 bolts. This will give you 2-3" of rear drop (closer to 2). The flip kit flips your axle so its above the leaf pack instead of below it and then that will give you 5-6" of drop. then using the chevy shackles it will lift you up 2" giving you about 3-4" of drop.

Zach, I told you what to do man...to do it right. It's more work, but I believe it'll be a higher quality and better ride and even possibly more dependable using what I am doing.
Stock XLT Coils
Stock XLT Leafs
DJM 3" Beams
DJM Flip-Kit
Lifting Shackles
That will drop my Splash about 3" in the front, and 4" in the rear -- just what you are looking for. The reason is that I am lifting my truck 1" before dropping, getting rid of that 1" drop from Ford so I don't get a 4/5.
