If you wanna come down to Texas, I'll put it on for you for beer. It'll take about 6hrs if you're good with a wrench, 8+ if your a newb. It's all pretty basic bolt on though.

No pics but its pretty simple.

just take your time might want to rent a spring compressor to make it safer to do.

I am going to head to NAPA and get a spring compressor for rent.....they should have one right???

Yeah i will definitely have pics and will do a full write up on it...

Yeah it will definitely help putting the springs in only issue I had was putting the coils in when i needed that.

I didn't need a spring compressor on mine, just put a jack under the control arm, unbolted the shock, and let the jack down. It travled far enough for me to pull the spring out by hand. Putting it back together was even easier with the shorter springs. Just set them in and lift the arm.

John, how much beer can you drink in 6 hours??? lol
hahaha sorry, just doing my numbers to see if I get with you when it comes time to do my 4/5. Coming to Houston/Galveston anytime soon?
I'm just waiting to have some cash to buy my 245-40-18 rubber.... and tha beer.

Nic, be careful when unbolting the A arms. Use the spring compressor or the jack under the A arm. One time I didn't use any of them and the setup just popped out and scared the **** out of me. I guess thats how some of us learn.

Yeah i will call NAPA and see if they have one. If not I will go and do the whole install at the base auto shop. I know they have a compressor and tool sets....

i did not trim the bump stop sence i could not find out how much to trim it. i can easly get to it still and do it. how much should i trim off.

i have no pictures of the install at all.

I wasn't planning on going to Houston anytime soon, but all I need is an excuse, and if you're buying the beer, that's an excuse! It would need to be during the week though. If that works with your schedule, Let me know and I can load up the tool box and head down.

4/5 the way to go,no doubt! the only problem i had was the rear pass. side bolt on the lower control arm kept hitting the exhaust!

How does that happen? Custom exhaust?

The only problem, which I've just fixed, was that after it settled in, the tie rods would occasionally contact the frame while turning. Bent one of them a bit, but I flipped the tie rods, and now they are almost perfectly level, and have way more clearance.

Same question I had.... How does the control arm bolt hit the exhaust in the rear???

when i was taking the old a arms off i had to pull the bolt out of the bushings and there wasnt much room to get it out. i think it was hitting the cat. pass. side lower rear is what was giving me fits.

i can go from a stock ride to draggin the frame off i prefur the bagged over static if i fell like a 2/3 i will or 4/5 i got that too if u aint draggin then u aint livin

true but then you have to deal with having any issues and more chance of having issues by driving a bagged truck daily. I dont care how good you built and wired and bagged the truck theres always a chance for something to go wrong with bags. You can blow a bag, get a hole in the air line eletrical issues, valves getting stuck all those worries with a daily. Then your screwed when you cant lift your truck up and drive it home.

Yeah if it wasn't my daily driver i would go bagged, but it will be my daily driver. The install is on hold due to me being over seas. I will be back before Thanksgiving though so hopefully i can get it done then... It will be done in time for XMAS....
