Coilover Brackets by ME00stepside (NO LONGER AVAILABLE AS OF 7/23/2021)

Hey Yall,
I'm new on this site, but I've been on F R F for a while, a few of you might recognize me. Anyway, here is my deal, Dec. 13th my truck was in a wreck when a girl driving a Kia pulled out in front of me: "My truck, destroying Kia Spectra's since 12-13-11 :(" on F R F.
I just found out Tuesday the 10th that my torsion bar and the torsion bar mount was damaged and the bill for the frame shop and replacement parts costs almost as much as the whole coilover conversion would cost.
Now with all that said I need to ask a favor. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to wait for the second batch. I already have my FOX coilovers and Hypercoil springs and as of Saturday the 21st my truck is going to be sitting in the shop dead in the water waiting on the coilover brackets.
From one person who loves their truck to another, please consider my request. I've been without my pride and joy now for 35 days driving a rented Toyota Corolla. If someone would be willing to help me out, I would be eternally grateful.

I have sold 10 sets so far. I had originally planned to have 10 sets made, but when the stock came in and the parts started getting cut, I was told that there would only be enough for 8 sets, so I capped oders for the first run at that. When I picked then up, he said he was able to get the 10 wsets after all.

Joe, what a guy to take care of Mark. His spot in the next run is, in fact, secured, so if you want me to ship the set to him first, I will do so.
The powdercoater said that I should have the brackets back by Friday, and everything else is sitting in the boxes waiting to go! As soon as I get them back, I'll be sealing them up and shipping them out. I will get tracking numbers to all as soon as boxes go out.
If people want to get in on the second run, let me know. I'll be getting the stock ordered this week.

Forgive me now
I have read through this thread and have been creeping on the whole coil over idea for quite awhile now. I realize that certain parts that are needed change deciding on what coil overs one goes with. My question is...
Does it really come down to just the coil overs, the bracket "kit", and the necessary spacers etc.? I just wonder if you have to do any welding to the frame for a gusset such as I have seen done on RCD kits in the past.
I'm sorry for the newb question but I just can't seem to grasp a solid answer to this and it could definitely make or break my decision to do this.
Thank you, and excellent work with all of this ME00.

Yes welding the gussets is required, and they will be included with the hardware.
Realistically though, that's a pretty easy task you could get done before you install the kit.

Not my truck, but it shows the welding on each side of where the coilover would mount:

The one other thing that is recommended is limit straps. This will help you avoid hyper-extending the shocks and ruining them, and if you're on a stock suspension with them cranked up to the equivalent height of a tb crank, it will make sure the upper control arms do not hit the springs (at a full tb crank, the UCAs are at quite an angle, and further suspension travel pulls them in toward the frame very quickly)
And for clarification, here is what's included in the kits:
2 upper coilover brackets
2 lower coilover brackets
4 gussets
2 spacers for between the upper bracket and the coil bucket
all neccesary mounting hardware
*shock bearing/bushing spacers (if requested)
I put "if requested" for the shock spacers because the different shocks take different sizes, and these need to be requested with the order so I can have enough of each size made. Fox also sells spacers. I'm not sure how many different sizes they offer, but wherever you order them from can help you. I don't know if other companies offer them or not.

Hey! Im new here. I have been looking EVERYWHERE for coil over brackets. I have a Sport Trac and am about 95% sure that this should work, just want to hear it from someone else first :) Also, I hate to be "that guy" but how much are you asking for the complete kit?? I am ready to jump on this haha

OK guys, updates time:
1) All of the raw ones are sitting in their shipping boxes waiting to go. Just waiting on gussets, which I should have within a day or two.
2) I'm expecting to be able to pick up the ones from the powdercoater by Friday.
3) I'm going to be ordering the stock for the second run this week, as I've gotten a few inquiries over the past few days.
4) Unfortunately, after the first run, I got some feedback from the welder and the cutter that future runs will cost me a little bit more, so I am updating pricing for future orders and here it is:
Brackets in black powdercoat, gussets, grade 8 zinc plated hardware, and spacers: $290
Brackets without powdercoat, gussets, grade 8 zinc plated hardware, and spacers: $270
Upgrade to grade 18-8 stainless steel hardware: add $10
Shipping:
$11 continental US
$28 Canada
Now that one run has been done, things should go a little smoother.
I'll keep updating on the current orders until they ship, and everyone will receive a tracking number for their order.

I actually am super lifted so I see where I will need a setup with 12" shocks. I suppose this will get me to be able to have the front lift of a full tbar cranked super lift?
I am def. far past being over the torsion bar setup on my truck. I need a serious front end upgrade. I've been doing some perusing on the Strange Engineering website as well.
Thank y'all for the help.

My pleasure. I love doing this stuff, in spite of all the wrenches that get thrown into it.
Tonight I picked up the gussets and shock spacers (for those who ordered them) and I'm picking up the brackets from the powdercoater tomorrow morning. All the hardware is bagged and I've got USPS flat rate boxes all over my kitchen counter waiting to ship out. My wife is thrilled. Ha ha.
I'll post up pics of a complete kit before I get them all sealed up.

Here is a thread where a member used the old RCD brackets on his Sport Trac: https://www.ranger-forums.com/showth...+trac+coilover
His pictures are gone due to the server crash...but sounds like he got everything to work.
Given these new brackets are based on the old RCD setup (give or take)...I would assume it would work as well.
