even a projector. print it out, photo copy it to a overhead then project it to the proper size and that way. all the holes would line up too. right?

ya or even if you just scaled it to the size u wanted on a computer.....but if i remember correctly..i printed it out and i dont think all the measurements are the same...like there were 2 lines that were 1.5 inches and they wernt both the same length...if you know what im saying....KLC did u draw them to scale or just kinda the basic shape?...

Yes, a person could. Any fabrication/welding shop can make the brackets based on the measurements and rough drawing though. That's why I didn't worry too much about it being drawn to scale.

The design is correct, but the pieces aren't drawn to scale. That's why the measurements are there. You can just compensate for the length and keep the same design. I will see if I can't draw up something better so it doesn't require as much work for the end user.

gotcha! the measurements wouldn't be that much of an issue. it's more the placement of the holes. i could give those plans to a tool and die guy/fab guy and he could build them but he might be roadblocked at the holes' placements.

Hey everyone its been awhile since i posted but i contacted ORW about Coil Overs fro my truck with a 4in Superlift. They said I needed a 6.5in travel Fox shocks, had to order extended eyelets for bolting purposes and I believe the diameter was 2in ( but not positive). The springs would be 750lb Eibach's. The total cost was about $500 fro a pair. I'm not sure if anyone needed the info but just thoght i would share what I found out.

Also, I know there can only be so much angle in the suspension geometry, but if i put a body lift along with the suspension lift on could I help increase my suspension travel or is it pretty much maxed out.

I understand what you are saying, but all you would have to do is take a few measurements of the LCA to make sure you get the correct placement of the holes. Remember that only two holes have to be exactly right for the lower mount. The rest have to be drilled out anyway. The hole placement on the top bracket is straightforward as well.

Well im starting to gather parts to do this conversion. I ordered some lower shock mounts from RCD and plan to use the stud to eye conversion brackets offered by total chaos fab. I would like to run foa coilovers. What length should i purchase? and what valving and spring rates should i shoot for? Is the #750 spring the best option?

They were just under $80. Your not really supposed to be able to order them. I told them I already had a RCD kit and I had an accident and destroyed the lower mounts and they sold me them no questions asked! While trying to decide what i would do for bump stops I ran across the daystar EVS bumps that would work great for this application. Check them out

Funny how this post keeps going and going or is it coming around again !

RCD would be wise to build the kit again or at least the coil-Over Shock Mounting for the front of the Ranger.

All I remember is I used the 750lb Rate Spring, as far as length does contact ORW and ask for Nick or contact ORW from the Site, I believe there is a posting under
https://www.ranger-forums.com/f101/o...-system-98489/

As stated earlier they are not making the kit anymore or at this time but this is for contacting Nick, he is the one that set up the shocks needed for the Lat Batch of Coil-Over Conversions that went through them.

Luck

I heard Nick doesn't work at ORW any longer. I'm not positive about that though.

They were running into too many variables from year to year--bump stop style and placement, some needed steering stops, etc.--plus the guy that was making them doesn't work there any more. I tried to order mine about 2 weeks too late-they were already out of them when I contacted Nick.

They didn't even question it. I just called back and asked if my order had shipped yet and if I could add another part to the order and they were pleased to help! The upper mounts run about $36 each, Im not sure they care who they sell the parts to. They asked me if I wanted to add some gussets to the order as well so I think they may have known it wasnt just to replace some messed up mounts.

Hmm, maybe I'm wrong. That's just what I heard.

I don’t know why the thread title is misspelled. I know I didn’t change it. Maybe it has been like that since the beginning of the thread? I will fix it though.

When you get these in, could you post the part numbers for us?
Thanks.

I seem to have lost the invoice that the lower mounts were on but the part number for the uppers is 20-52498-9. You dont need the part number really anyway. Just tell them youd like to order new replacement shock mounts for your rcd lifted truck. They wont question you at all.
