chevy shackle and spring fatigue ?
I've been reading more about the chevy shackles i installed . I found a few posts that mention spring fatigue problems but they never have any real answers.
So just how many people have had problems with their shackles causing spring fatigue ? Does it depend on what leafpack you have ?
maybe when i get more money i should switch to an AAL and tough out the harsher ride.
IT will be a while till i can do a chevy leaf swap!

I have never heard of a rear spring problem that could be attributed to using the Chevy drop shackles. The only time the aftermarket Chevy shackles make any difference at all is if you fully bottom the rear suspension. Then the leaf springs will deflect a little farther than with the stock shackles.
Is it in the direction of increased fatigue? Yes. Should you worry about it? I wouldn't.

the shackle would cause no problems to a weak pack......if you already have a weak pack then you need to upgrade.....
if you pack has no arch in it, then it is time to replace it.....re-arching shouldn't be an option, it is an expensive tempory fix......
like i said, a shackle will not cause any problems to the pack.....
