Cheap Lowering Question

Cheap Lowering Question
How could I lower a Ranger cheap. I have read that you can flip the shackle(i think) in the rear for a 2" drop.
Is it possible to get a stock set of coils from a junkyard and cut some off for a drop in the front? If it was dropped 1 or 2" in the front what would have to be done to it? I have read that the camber will be negative with to much drop, but will it be affected with a 1 or 2" drop?
As you guys can see I don't really know to much. heh
Oh yeah, I don't think it really matters for my question but it's a 92 ranger.

Is there anyway I could lower the rear more than 2" with out having to buy anything, except maybe some bolts and stuff? Also it would have to beable to haul about 400lbs (my fourwheeler) so taking out a leaf isn't an option. Would the only way I could drop it 2" in the back would be buying something right? What would I have to buy?
Sorry if I sound stupid or anything, I don't know much about this stuff yet.
Would this work? It says fits most trucks.

BTW it's a 92 Ranger 4x2 3.0L

Yeah you probably wont need the c-notch unless you go further than 4-5". You will however have to either cut or remove the bumpstop in the rear. If you plan on lowering it in the front with coils, you will also have to cut or remove the bumpstops in the front too. Here is my truck with a 5-6. The axle didnt hit the frame but I went ahead and notched it anyway just in case.

Hey loranger, Do you have any pictures of your truck sitting on a level area? After seing the pic of your truck I like the look of that 5-6 drop. A 4-6 drop should be level right? Maybe a 3-5? I don't want to have to notch the frame, but I want it low and level. I'm pretty much a newbie when it comes to this stuff. But what would have to be done for a 3-5 drop? Or a 4-6, can you do a 4-6 though?
But my main question is, what drop would be cheaper? A 3-5 or a 4-6. But do they even have a 4-6?
What all would I need for a 3-5 drop though? Like everything I need. Thanks

Well, I guess if I want a 3-5 drop I'll have to get this? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD-...spagenameZWDVW
I know it will need new shocks too. What about coils upfront?

Not a bad kit but for the price Id rather spend a couple more bucks and get the DJM dream beams and flipkit for the rear.. You wont need drop shocks for the front because you have i beams and somehow it doesnt change the shock legnth with having 3 inch dropped ibeams, You can get away with just new stock shocks which are cheaper than drop shocks in comparison, in the rear you will need new rear shocks though and you can run nissan hardbody shocks which will work on a ranger dropped in the rear they mount the same and are shorter and alot cheaper in price compared to toxics and such. As for coils up front 3/5 it first see if you like it, if you do and want to go lower than purchase a set of 2 inch drop coils or pick up a set of used splash springs which are 1 inch shorter than regular xlt springs.

from what I heard DJM packages the flipkit with the beams and I have heard of stories of people just ordering the beams and getting the flipkit brackets in there so might want to see if you buy the ibeams alone might get a free flipkit out of it if the stories are true, Cheaper buyign the beams alone I see flipkits forsale all the time for dirt cheap, not on here though since everyone seems to be lifted....
