In the 98+ Ranger design, the shocks are the rebound limiters, not the sway bar. Shock damage is one of several reasons why overcranking the torsion bars is not a good idea.

Longer shocks = problem solved.

This is more likely a problem with dampers than springs.

Longer shocks = damaged CV joints. Mine bind at about 1/4" past stock shock travel.

[/facepalm] Bad Fiddes BAD!

I still don't think its much of a problem, even with the stock shocks. When I changed my shocks on the front, I still had to compress them a bit, and the suspension was at full droop. The t-bar helps keep it from going down too far.

I have longer travel reservoir shocks and had to strap them back to stock travel to keep the CV's from binding when turning at full extension.

Just an FYI...

The highest rate leaf spring packs on U.S.-spec Rangers are code C's, not K's. C packs are standard on Level II's and available on some others equipped with optional "Payload Package 2".

Good to know actually. Thank you. I thought the t-bars would stop the droop too, but now that I think about it, there's noting keeping the key from lifting off the bolt should the suspension be allowed to droop that far. Good call!
