pull the stock block out, AAL it, chevy 2" drop shackle it...lets do some math...
2.5" lift from the stock block
1.5" lift from the shackle
1.5" lift from the AAL
----------------------------
5.5" total rear lift
2.5" stock block
----------------------------
3" total lift(.5 above stock)
2.5" lift from the stock block
1.5" lift from the shackle
1.5" lift from the AAL
----------------------------
5.5" total rear lift
2.5" stock block
----------------------------
3" total lift(.5 above stock)

Well...
I'm superlifted up front......I didn't want to double stack blocks, so i went the AAL + shackle route to lift the rear(still kept the stock block). I gained approx 3" of lift....leveled the truck out.
SO....what i posted above is addition...
2.5" factory block + 1.5" lift from the AAL + 1.5" lift from the 2" chev drop shackles = 5.5" of lift.
You just added 3" of lift to the rear....SO....even if you are cranked to the max, you'd have like a 3.5-4" rake with the rear being taller.
If you want almost level, go ahead and do the AAL and shackle, but remove the stock block. 5.5" total previous lift - 2.5" for the stock block = 3" of total rear lift (which is 1/2" taller than stock if stock is just the 2.5" block).
IF I ever were to remove my front Superlift, i'd run that setup.
If I were you, I'd do it...lose the block, add the AAL and shackle, then i'd upgrade/replace the bars to #1 bars, crank 'em, and be stylin'.

x2 on getting rid of the block in the back you arent really going up persay but you are adding suspension which is the name of the game if im correct.
oh and while im here...
dumb question of the day: torsion bars have numbers? and what number does my 01 edge have? (sorry for the hack but im questioning everything i ever knew about my truck right now haha)
