they were just commenting on your comment before, it happends on all build threads, no big deal, just post an update of the build and it will get back on track, no need to be cursing on this site, just grow up and continue on.

Your just feeding the fire.
Let me ask you a question, to which i know the answer to already.
When you don't know something, and you know that somebody else who you have direct access to knows that something. don't you think you should ask them?
you call us retarded, but really your the one acting so.

Nobody is talking sh*t at all. We are basically all talking about D44s and SAS kits. It's related to the build. Everyone was impressed with your truck and said how great a job you did. Stuff only went south when you started b*tching then people started arguing. Look through Beard's 85 page build thread, have of it is actual info and the other half is people BSing and joking around. The forum is like a conversation, one question leads to discussion and sometimes it goes off topic. If people just stuck to the threads topic it would be a graveyard in here.

And to think this is all because someone has the audacity to ask someone to explain themselves, hoping to teach them something about what was going on in the thread.

Even though it may have been me that started the problem, maybe not… I will side back with 93gpt.
Sometime we (the group, the membership) gets carried away with comments about things that are not directly related, but it happens to all of the threads; I had to get used to it.
Ssssoooo, 93gpt, IF you want to benefit from the knowledge base that is this site and to impart on us the knowledge and information that you have and may come across you need to get used to it; buck up man.

Also, the info you brought to this thread has set things in the works for me, it has benefited someone.
I am talking with JD about a new kit, I am starting the parts gathering for the SAS, I am seriously thinking about the Axle Swap and the V-8 Swap.
So thank you for starting the thread and showing the Membership what you are doing, well done too, and keep up the good work but get some thicker skin because even thought this is a great site and some really great and knowledgable people in it, there is still the usual BS, razzing and digging goin on.

ltr
Grev

Sorry if this is just carrying the BS further along but lets let the guy rest, this is a great thread, the best and easiest one for an SAS I have seen and would like the guy to continue it.

Well 93, first you said it was the comments that blew your thread off course, now it's the **** talking? I stated my point. In 2 POSTS. Not 2 PAGES of **** talking...

But anyways, good fabwork, again. Just keep posting if you would like, I will ask Zach to delete all the ****.

Well here it is had a ruff time with the brakes. I swapped out the HCU still had brake fade even after power bleeding 3 quarts of fluid through the system. With the rabs gone anyway I purchased a proportioning valve from summit I also upgraded the master cylinder to a 3/4 ton unit from an 86 ford f-250. The f-250 has a 1 1/8 bore verses the ranger 1 inch. brakes are a lot better now just dropped of at the alignment shop. I had to let all the air out of the tires to get it out of the garage ( cleared by 3/4 of an inch )

That thing looks amazing!! Like factory. It's crazy how the width of the EB axles fit perfect on the Ranger. Just barely out of the wheel wells. It looks pretty close in the back though, how much space do you have between the back wheels and the fender? Love SASed regular cabs :)

12 inches from top of tire to top of rear wheel well. 24.5 inches to bottom of frame.

You are not limited to the early bronco axle. You can go full width with this kit. James Duff also sells a spacer kit to adapt there radius arms to a Dana 60. Duff also sells axle wedges to adapt an axle over to C bushing radius arms. There are a few different options just depends on what width you want and what axles you can find.

Same. They are really hard to find though. It's easier to get a 70s F-250 axle on the cheap and shorten the passenger side and get a EB passenger shaft for it.

Also, the 70’s Axle will give you a high pinion, nice.
You only need to cut down the passenger side, just finding someone that can do it is the trick.
Buying EB Axles is quick and easy but the 9” in an EB is the weakest one ever produced, center housing was weak.

Wow, looks great, I wish I did it this way instead of having to wait for JD to come up with another kit, IF they ever do !

Here is an idea… your the first one to do this kit so take all of your posts and the comments you want and make a “How-TO” out of it.
Get it posted in the How-To Section, get it closed so no additional posting can take place.
Just me thinking again !

I think the EB is high pinion. I think, not 100% on that. And yeah just the passenger side, they talk about that on Ranger Stations D44 section. Plus you don't have to convert to discs or 240x u-joints since they already come that way. I wouldn't use the 9 inch from the EB anyway. A built Expo 8.8 would match up nicely with the EB size D44 though. That way you get discs all around.

OK on the axle choice for EB Axles with Disc would be 76 maybe 75 but that is all so finding one now becomes even harder and pricier.

I still like the F150 or the late 70 full size Bronco frt Axle.

The eb axle is low pinion. I was going to buy a high pinion full width and have it cut down but it was 400.00 per axle plus axle shafts. I also know with the high pinion the engine cross member has to be modified for clearance. the factory shafts are weak with the 297 universal joint. I upgraded the shafts with chrome moly 4340 shafts with 760 joints
