it did pretty good i want gears and locker now ha what do yall think about welded rear ends i will get better pics up later.

 

How do you like your axel shafts now? Because if you weld up that 7.5, it is going to blow. Get an 8.8 under there, then get an actual locker if you are going to drive it at all on the street

 

what would an 8.8 come out of

 

Well there are 2 8.8's. There is the 28 spline 8.8 that is found in most extended cab rangers, and in all 4.0 equipped ones. It is kinda hit or miss for the 3.0L motors. I have seen a couple with a 7.5 and an 8.8. But the 8.8 out of rangers bolt right in.

Then there is the explorer 31 spline rear end. This one requires some modification to fit in. It is considerably stronger than the ranger 8.8
