Vacuum leak suspected

Vacuum leak suspected
I have a 2001 Ranger 2.L, manual. I am encountering rough idle at times as well as extremely poor acceleration and random moments, usual stop lights. The truck will not accelerate past 5 mph and the truck will buck until it stalls or eventually drives normal. The attached images show a tube with an obvious crack.
1. Could this be the cause of my issues?
2. What is the name of this tube?

Hi Andrew,
This is part of the crankcase ventilation system. Normally the valve cover end would be attached to the PCV( Positive Crankcase Ventilation ) Valve. But Ford decided to hide the PCV valve on the 2.5L down low on the driver side block.
But the hose in your picture commonly dries out.
Here is a link to one from FordPartsGiant.com.

I ended up using a Gates 90° hose Part # 28460 I bought from a small parts shop near me. I matched it up with the original and trimmed off the shorter end to fit before installing it.

I see now that the Gates part# 28460 hose I used is "not" oil or fuel rated even though I was assured at the counter it was, so I'll probably order one from the fordpartsgiant link for myself. i couldn't find one anywhere last year lol, hence the Gates.
I would suggest wearing gloves when you pull the old one off since mine left a bunch of black residue on my hands that was fairly stubborn to remove before I went on to install other parts. Or just have some good hand cleaner handy, but gloves are quicker.

In case you haven't changed or pulled the PCV valve yet and are planning to, here's another thread with some info.

Sorry Andrew, I just noticed the hose at FPG is no longer available. I was just about to order one too. Usually if a part isn't available there won't be a price listed so I assumed it was, my bad.
I've sent in a request form to Gates to see if they have an applicable 90° hose that is oil/fuel rated. If it turns out they do I'll post a link here.
