exhaust quick fix

I know there are millions of exhaust/emission questions, but there's a lot of disagreement. I need a cheap, quick fix to get me around til I can spend some $ to do it right. I'll need to replace the entire exhaust from the manifold back eventually. Can I get away with stripping the cat altogether, or gutting it and replacing it? What of the O2 sensors? Its a single cat with O2 sensors fore and aft. Again I'm only looking for 2 month solution. Gas mileage isnt gonna get any worse. Thanks

I took the Cat out of my truck. i can't remember if there was an o2 sensor in there or not.
just cut it right after the manifold so you can unbolt it/recut it later. and weld in a pipe to a muffler.

You'd be surprised how cheap it can be to redo your exhaust. If you just buy the pipe and weld it yourself you can do pretty much everything from the cat back for 50$.

As for the manifolds, not so much. =p

well if you want to make the trip, there's a place called 30 west auto, on rout 30 in Gettysburg, they have good prices, it only cost 30 dollars and like 5 minuets to run me a tail pipe, and if you have 2 inch exhaust i have almost a whole exhaust from manifold back in my shed, i could sell you, i'm not completely sure if the set up will work but i don't see why not. you can probably just cut out the area with the O2 sensors in them and reuse them.
