Good evening!
I have a 1993 Ford ranger XL 2.3L (auto trans) with 128k miles on the clock. I am having an issue with putting my truck into drive, there is a slight delay (not consistently though) where I have to pump the gas pedal once or twice before it engages.
The problem does not stop there as when I come to a stop it will some times disengage again, I can tell without hitting my gas pedal because the truck has a shake when sitting idle. Stranger yet is about once or twice a day the truck will totally crap out, where I have to put it into park and restart the truck.I changed my oil,tranny fluid and tranny filter. There is also a new fuel filter on the truck. Driving down the road or the high way it has no issues shifting what so ever, and even when I get on it; the truck still has good pickup. Any ideas?
