Did you find and swap in the Turbo computer, injectors, and MAF? I really think this would help. Maybe get a blow off valve to regulate boost? I like your idea a lot, but I think you should really get the bugs worked out... Like the cable idea, it works, but what a PITA. With some more work I'd say you can get this thing running great.

The cable on the bypass is more of just for kicks. It would be like a lever in the shifter to grab when you wanted more power. It is just one of them random ideas thrown up in the air. The whole truck is like that, it is pretty much just a "why the hell not?" truck. Right now the bypass is adjusted with a bolt that holds it open.

If you get some biggere injectors and get it tuned better, i'm sure you'll be very suprised with how much better it does. I would not run it long with stock injectors at 7 lbs of boost. the stock injectors aren't good for more than about 2 psi. If you continue running it , it won't be long before you melt a piston... and i don't think you'll be really happy with 19# injectors either. you need something close to 35# to run up around 10psi.

stock injectors on an 86 t-bird turbocoupe are 35# injectors and i think stock boost was close to 15 psi. I think ford knows better than a backyard builder.... don't mean to insult but if you want your motor to last you should think about it a little more. And that other guy has his boost topping out at 5 psi with 19# injectors, that would be pretty close. You've allready said your running 7psi on stock fuel system... i

Or not. Everyone does that. How about I do something different regardless of the outcome. We wanted to supercharge a 4cyl and we did. When we get the fuel problemn all worked out then we might make a bit of power, but for now I'm happy that I can actually pass people on the highway.

Cool idea. Heres a little band air for your fuel problems. Ger an adjustable fuel regulator, and try a 5th injector in the intake tubing just before it enters the motor. Run it off of a rpm activated switch. When you start to run lean at X rpm, adjust the rpm switch to 500rpm lower than that just to be safe.

Run it off of a rpm activated switch. When you start to run lean at X rpm, adjust the rpm switch to 500rpm lower than that just to be safe.
Keep in mind we are trying to somewhat cheap in this build. So far we have $150 in the supercharger/intercooler/tubing and $20 in a belt. Not too bad if you ask me.

I thought about something like that before. What would trigger the injector though? I have never seen a switch like that. I have been looking for an adjustable fuel regulator.

Sorry, you can get a boost activated switch from ebay or just use an hobbs switch.

Update:
Blew it up....finally. lol Now I can pull it and rebuild it. I am going to order some forged pistons for it. Probably an 8.0:1 compression ratio instead of the stock 9.4:1. I might have it bored, but only if the cyl. walls are scored up. (good chance) I want to get it to run with ~15psi. I will probably keep the stock cam, and I am going to port the head. I would like to get a long-tube header and get rid of the "true dual" split header thing. I am less worried about sound now and more about performance.
I will let yall know what actually happend mechanically when I get the head pulled off. It lost compression on cyl #4 and both of #4's plugs were melted and the ceramic was busted out of it. I am assuming that it just leaned out and burnt a hole in the piston.
