94 2.3L won’t start/turn over
I’ll start by saying I’ve read a few different posts about the same issue and have tried some the suggestions but still can’t get it to start. Was driving down the road when it died, I did not have any issues prior to that. When it first happened I couldn’t get it to do anything. Let sit went and got a tow strap and some tools. Tried to start it again. It started, but made a noise like the starter didn’t retract, as soon as I let off the clutch it died. Tried again it started but died before I could even let off the clutch. Have not been able to get it to start since and that was two weeks ago. I replaced the starter, there was some damage to the teeth on the starter but still nothing. I checked the fuel pump it’s good, tried bypassing the starter relay, still nothing. You can hear the starter engage but nothing. Battery has good charge, starter relay as been tested and is good. To me it acts like another sensor is bad and not relaying to the computer to start. All relays and fuses in the both fuse boxes are good. A friend mentioned the alternator might be bad. Not sure where to go from here besides the junk yard. Not really. Looking through the engine and underneath I have found other possible issues everything from bare/cracked wires to oil and power steering leaks. Was thinking about pushing it down the in front of the house tomorrow to see if can pop the clutch to get it start. I apologize for the long winded post.

If engine doesn't spin when key is turned to START then thats not a computer or sensor issue
Starter circuit is a separate system
Ignition switch----------clutch pedal switch-----------------------starter relay-------------------starter motor
If you jump the starter relay on the inner fender and starter motor doesn't spin the engine then starter motor is bad(new or not) or engine is seized, only two choices
You can try turning the engine manually via the bolt on crank pulley, or try a "bump start", roll truck in gear and release clutch pedal engine should spin
If you get engine to spin with starter motor, but no start
Try spraying fuel into the engine manually, gasoline or Quick Start(ether)
If it starts, runs and dies, you have a fuel delivery issue
If it doesn't fire at all then its a spark issue, OR.................on a 2.3l timing belt issue
Called 50/50 test

Ron, The start gets power and you can hear it click. I tried "jumping" it and the same you can hear it click but doesn't spin the engine. I turned the crankshaft a couple days ago with a socket and breaker bar and it spun. I reconnected everything made sure the battery had good voltage. I tried to start it and it tried to crank but didn't start. Then when I tried again it went back to the starter clicking and nothing else. Last night I pulled the starter again, tried to turn the crankshaft with a socket again, and it will not spin. I can not get it to move at all. So I'm wondering if it has something to do with transmission or flywheel, other thought is something in the engine.
