2.5 1998 died while turning

While making a slow sharp right turn my truck did a little shake & died, causing The battery light to come on. However I was able to crank back up fine and the truck ran as if nothing happened. The serpentine belt, battery, and alternator are all new. The battery cables appear to be in decent condition (they arent loose), the belt is in place like it should be, and all the fluids are good. Any leads is greatly appreciated.

Ford power steering pumps need a lot of engine power
So at low RPMs a 4cyl engine can stall, i.e. in a parking lot and turning sharp at low speeds

Ford did add a Power Steering Pressure sensor on the 4cyl engines, just for that reason, computer should have bumped up the idle RPMs when it "sensed" high pressure and high engine load
But if that sensor was not connected or not working then computer would set a code

So it may just have been a "one off", a fluke
Make sure power steering fluid is topped up

And test it with engine warmed up, so lower idle, and turn steering wheel lock to lock in the drive way to see if engine struggles to stay running

Battery light comes on with key on engine off, and will come on if engine RPMs drop below 400 or so, because alternator quits generating power same as engine off key on
