2.3 cutting out

I have a 97 2.3 with a 5 speed, 2wd. recently took it camping, and ended up going through some deepISH puddles..

at the time it was cutting out and dying if i didnt stay on the gas, but it did that maybe 5 times. i upped the idle and it stopped. I have burnt through the rest of that tank (about 1/4 full at the time) and have driven 40 or so miles on fresh gas. Everything is fine until i get off of the gas and it seems like the motor is cutting out. (flowmaster makes all kinds of popping noises) but at WOT its fine, no power loss whatsoever. I removed the air filter (K&N drop in) and there was some water inthe air box. cleaned it up, dryed the filter.. still does it. checked for "spark leaks" and see nothing.. I havent had much time to mess with it but im also not sure where to start. thanks ahead of time for the help!

You probably got K&N oil on the MAF sensor. Clean it with some air intake cleaner or maf cleaner.

P.S.- Stop going through puddles really fast before you hydrolock your engine.

I tried cleaning the MAF - Still does it. so i ran a obd2 scanner and pulled up 4 codes:

p1443 - evap little to no flow. never been able to figure this out, always been there.

new codes:

p1121 - throttle position sensor inconsistent with MAF ??
p0123 - throttle pedal position sensor a circuit high output? (possible becuase idle was adjusted to keep from dying)
p1132 - lack of ho2s11 sensor indicates rich??

How can I fix these I need some help!!

id check the coils. Mines been giving me problems bucking and dying pretty much whenever it felt like it. turned out to be a bad coil pack. you also might try cleaning your grounds and battery cables/terminals.

Problem Solved!

Well I hooked it up to a mac tools scanner and read the datastream.
everything was normal except the TPS read 94-96% throttle at IDLE. therefor flooding it.. explaining why it died all the time. I replaced this sensor 13 months ago so it was out of its 12 month warranty..go figure :P

anyway, $25 later and re-adjust the idle everthing is perfect!
