up front is my crossmember, and out back is my crap job rear shackle mounts. once i get it back on its own weight, im taking em back off, and making a whole outboarded piece for that area.

i was going to just box in the top area thats there, but ive decided to redo it and make it stout so i can actually trust it. so for the time being, itll do, and dont judge on my crap job!!! lol

I like the list as well. Sounds like you've got the right set-up!

I like my adapters and haven't been able to find a thread on pirate or google about adapters breaking. Everybody says they're the weak point, but it seems hard to find anything about breaking (or failing) wheel adapter. It makes sense how they're weak but not a lot of info to back it up. I might (this summer) get some Dutchamn alloy rear shafts for 6x5.5 and then figure out the brakes (redrill drums or disc conversion).

The problem is if I do that I'd still need to run spacers to have equal width front & rear. I'm not sure. The guys (local buddies & shop ) I usually ask say wheel it until I break and then we know the adapters are crap. I don't exactly like that thinking as then I'd be kinda screwed out in the middle of nowhere on 3 tires......

ya....with mine, theyre like 2in worth of adapters in the rear...and another 1in in the front...its like my axles are confused at heart lol

idk...i could always run different offsets on my wheels too, that wouldnt bother me too much......kinda.

idk, i guess we're gunna just have a hard time perfecting this lol, so we better keep eachother informed :)

What brand are the rear adapers? All 5x4.5 to 6x5.5 wheel adapter will be 2 piece as one hole will overlap or be too close if they were one piece. Mine are from 5 X 4.50 to 6 X 5.50 Wheel Adapter/ Wheel Spacer and they're also 2" spacers. Pretty close to perfect match as far as width front to rear.

brand...beats the hell out of me, ill check tomorrow when i get back to the truck (its at another house). and gotchya...that makes sense for the 2 piece.

i wanna run chromos all around...to change my bolt pattern also. that would take an inch out of my front and id be content with running a 1inch spacer in the rear or so.

Superior 88 kit. Superior Axle and Gear I'm sure you could special order with the 6x5.5 bolt pattern. Might cost extra, but it is a solid kit. I'm still running the 28 spline 8.8 so options for me are super limited. Roder and Passport D44's have disc brakes, same WMS as Waggy D44's and already 6x5.5. It is hard to swap after my rear is already locked, geared, and new diff cover. So much already invested and my moderate wheeling the 28spline should hold up for a little. I'm easy on the skinny pedal. If I do swap it would be to a Rodeo (most common) D44 since it is ready to rock once shock mounts are moved and leaf perches.

For the front I would go with RCV. https://www.rcvperformance.com/store...products_id=67

hm...that is something to think about, but im in the same boat..
my 8.8 is already geared and locked...with a diff cover too lol but mines a 31spline so i think its here to stay.

as for the rear axles, that was kinda what i was looking at. for the front though...holy **** thats $$$. i know its worth it and all but....man....for that price i'd have my friends exploder already so i could do my 5.0 swap haha

im sure if we dont rock our **** out too hard itll treat us well...but i do want to upgrade to chromos sometime..

a while back, this was what i was looking for as far as front shafts
