Sold the Ranger...Its new home is in the Bahamas
I get a phone call Sunday night and notice that it's from the Bahamas, I didnt answer it thinking it was a wrong number. My voice message goes off, so I call and this guy says that he is interested in the truck and leaves his number. I think to myself that it has to be some BS scam and didnt even bother calling him back. Well, he calls back about an hour later and I answer, he says that he is interested in the truck and all and that he lives in the bahamas and he will fly in to look at it and buy it if the truck looks as it does in the pictures I had posted in the autotrader add. I give him my photobucket account so he can see more pictures...I'm thinking this has got to be a scam, I was just waiting for the punch line.
He calls back Tuesday and asks more about the truck, I tell him that when he gets here we are going to my bank to verify the cash and all thinking to myself that this would run him off if he was a scammer...he agreed without question. He calls me this morning and says that he is flying in this afternoon, so I get off work and go home to clean the truck up. He calls at around 4 to tell me that he has landed and is getting a taxi to my office. So I hop in the truck and head to the office.
He arrives and looks at the truck, he falls in love with it going on and on about this looks good and that looks good. We go to the bank and everything clears, so we have a new ranger owner in the Bahamas. He is driving it down to Miami and having it shipped to the bahamas and he is catching a flight Friday morning back to the bahamas. He is going to send me some pics when it arrives and of it in the Bahamas...Oh, his name is Antonio (The one in the picture), he is a great guy and works at the Atlantis resort in sales, he said he will hook me up, just give him a call anytime.
After cleaning her up...

It seems to be a common thing for them...coming to the states and buying a car. He said he had purchased 3 cars counting mine.

Sad, that was a great looking truck! But good deal for you.
I had an 86 VW vanagon Syncro (4x4) when I was younger. Extremely rare and in great condition. When I posted it on autotrader I got calls from all over the world, it was crazy. There were a few people who wanted to fly in and look at it to have it shipped too.
Some kid ended up buying it from Colorado and driving it back from Oregon instead though.
