That would have helped earlier lol. I should have not been lazy and dug behind one of the back seats for the tool for lowering the tire. I wouldn't be in this mess right now. See laziness doesn't get me no where.

Well I have some pissed off news and some good news.

Pissed off news first: The ****ing passenger window motor is already shot. I called the company and they said if I take the whole kit out of my truck and ship it back they will ship me a new one. I was like you going to reinverse me for the time it took to install them, then uninstall them ship it back and wait a week or two for them to arrive and then install them again, just to have them go out again in two weeks? They said all they could do was pay for the shipping (standard shipping at that) and that was it. So I hung up the phone and gave them bad feedback on ebay.

Good news: My dad had a brand new passenger window regulator/motor that came with his truck sitting in the shed. He wasn't going to originally give it to me but he felt bad that I got screwed so he gave it to me for my old bumper brackets that I will have to install on his truck tomorrow. So I got the window regulator/motor mounted and its working and 10x faster then the universal one.

When I get paid in two weeks I will be buying a brand new one for the driver side as well. If only it lasts that long.

So overall DO NOT buy those stupid aftermarket universal power window kits.

Well I went out and worked on the hitch/bumper alignment today and still can't get the bumper bolt holes to line up.

Here's a pic of the driver side bumper bracket, the passenger side is lined up with no problems.

Here's a pic of what I think is causing the problem. Passenger side

Driver side

Also I think my leaf spring packs are shot.

Nice work but two questions:

1) How fast do the windows go up ?
I have heard that after market units are a slower than OEM.

2) Please give us more info either here or a new thread about the power door locks ?

Thanks

The power window kits are pure junk. The passenger side already went out and they were pretty slow. I have now upgraded the passenger side to OEM. Driver side when I get money.

The door lock are straight forward. The kit comes with 1 master actuator and 3 secondary ones. One receiver for the wireless remotes and all the wiring to do it. First thing is get the door panels and kick panels off and the panel under the steering wheel.

I mounted the receiver under the steering wheel. I cut the unneeded wiring harness off. (the kit is for a four door and I have a two door).

Then run the wiring to each door. Take the actuator and find where you want to mount it drill the two holes on the inner panel for the door, mount it.

Then take the rod cut/bend it to attach the actuator to the locking rod already in the door.

Today I went to the junkyard and got some new leaf springs since my old ones are pretty much toast.

Old ones.

yea i bought leafs from another member on here, this will be the third time for me replacing em, ones that came with the truck went flat, then my dumbass pulls some off a 93 ranger (you know with the 5 digit odo, so lord knows how many miles were on that) ... those were good for 4 months or so and now have also gone flat

new ones are the "k rated" (which i think is real strong they look super beef) .... and came off an 08 4.0 4x4 with 10k miles on it

Man you got lucky on the last find. These ones I pulled off the same 01 Mazda I've been pulling all my parts off of. I feel like I have taken half the truck with me lol. Would have taken the rest of the rear bumper for my dads truck but someone already took it. Anyways the truck had only 60k on the odo so hopefully these will last a while.

Trying to get the truck set so I can get some wheeling in. Hopefully next week I will have the money to get some new shocks and then I will crank the torsion bars to level out the front.

Went back to the junkyard today to get the bolts because I will probably have to cut the front bolts off because the bolt is seized with the metal sleeve on the inside of the bushing. I also looked on the door sticker and these springs are also K rated.

So now I have to find time to work on the springs again and will have to find a friend with a grinder w/ a cutoff wheel.

Ok small update but no pictures as I forgot to bring the camera.

I got the passenger side leaf springs swapped and my bumper completely mounted. I had to cut both bolts off the springs as they both were seized to the metal sleeve in the bushing.

I still need to do the driver side but first I need to take a trip to the stealership and get two more bolts. Does anyone know how much these bolts are?

Also it raised the truck up 2 inches on the passenger side. Went from 21" to 23" bottom of fender flare to middle of wheel.
