You could never tell that it had so much hail damage? What'd it end up being price-wise? I know how upsetting that can be -- my wife's CR-V had $5500 worth of hail damage less than a month after it rolled off the lot brand-new. Luckily, the guys that worked on it did as good of job as the guys who worked on your truck.
Clean trucks like this make me wish my truck was DSG or black. But then I realize that my truck is rarely clean, and I'm glad it's silver. :-)

OHHHHH!! you DID get it to work!! lol. AWESOME!!
NOW...go to Autolumination.com and order up a pair of their 906 Xenon/Super White bulbs for the dome!!! Best mod ever I did. BRIGHT AS HELL!!! I took my center fuse looking bulb out and now I just rock the outside bulbs...lights the inside up crazy awesomelike. DO IT!!

Yeah, LED's have their uses, but interior dome lighting is not one of them. Their beam is too focused. You need something that scatters - an incandescent is the best for that.
Now... there are several trucks that have gotten them to work for dome lights, so it can be done, but LED's are not the ideal solution to that problem.
