Dually Ranger (as seen on TRS)

Thanks for proving how much you actually know. Have you ever taken a look underneath a Chevy Silverado 2500/3500 SRW or Dually diesel? They have Independent Front Suspension, not Solid axles.

I can't say I woulda done it, but you've got to respect the work he did....although I am not sure why...
not quite... I don't think he narrowed it, just the dually style wheels and he put flareside wheel wells on a fleet side bed, not just flares.
To be honest, his version of the dually bed looks much better than the fiberglass insert on the superduty

This serves no purpose but to boost the minuscule ego of the guy who drives it. You buy a superduty dually to tow, not to lift and burn perfectly good MTs on pavement. You buy a ranger to haul what a single axle can handle. That truck could never pull what that axle can carry in tongue weight. Even if it had the engine and gearing, the frame, weight, and stability will never match what the superduty was engineered over years to do.
But yeah other than that cool beans!

This is the guys description of it
father/son project made as a mini me to wifes f-350. 4 inch suspension lift, 3 inch body lift. one off wheel adaptors to 16inch dually rims with 35" 12.50 fun countrys. took side fenders from step side and put them on the fleet side bed. turned out better then expected. ladder rack custom cut down and welded to fit. all big truck lights installed. bumpers tow hooks trailer hitch cut welded to fit. side steps extended down by adding 2 inch metal extensions in the ford brackets. truck has 4.10 gears automatic trans 4.0 motor and every option from leather to power mirrors. it rides great no shimmy or pull. not a harsh ride and descent MPG very happy with it and thought everyone might be interested.

or he could just want to put money into it for no reason... why do so many people on this site paint their headlights? doesn't serve any useful function, if anything the corners painted detract from the safety and visability of the vehicle, and being that the lights have been altered, they are actually not DOT approved anymore...
personally, i like the idea, it's just customization in a different direction than a lot of people would go, as for his work, i think, based off of those pictures, (other than the ill placed clearance lights on the tailgate) it is show worthy

And the other two makes of HD trucks available have what front axle? And just to prove to a douche like you how much I know the truck you used as an example has the lowest towing cpacity of all 3 heavy duty trucks available. So yeah good call on using an IFS.
#43
lol. Ford and Dodge 3/4 and 1 ton trucks use solid axles. Chevrolet uses IFS with diesel. My point was you're saying that his truck is a fail because of it's configuration. Guess you've never seen a dually Silverado 3500 tow anything?
#44
I am saying his truck is a failure because all he has done was modify it to have 4 rear wheels. All of that time and money was spent for the sole purpose of looks. the dual rear wheels will actually be a detriment to it's overall performance.
