idk what i'll do, depends how much money i pour into making a driving 2wd SFA truck... i may make custom speaker boxes that are incorporated into the 2x4 or 2x6s i use as the lip at the bottom of the door...

i've got a few more months in this hell hole before its practical to really take the doors off... its so damn cold..

i now have quick releases for the wires, i found out 2 are for the speaker and 2 are for the door ajar switch..i wish i had known that and i would have only got a 2 pin connector and done half the work lol

Get some tube doors made up and it can give you back the structural integrity lost be removing the doors... as far as the lip for the door, i'm sure you can figure something out on that... pretty cool though, I've thought bout doing that!

how so do you figure? Other than the lip what's the difference than when a jeep does it? Are they idiots? Pretty sure pullin the doors is easy as pullin the pins.. Pretty sure that's a freebee... and not had to put connectors on the wires!

ranger doors are part of the roof supports so it is much weaker without the doors. but i still think its fine. people ***** less about not wearing a seatbelt which is 10x more dangerous.

let him do what he wants to, yeah its not the safest but a lot of things people do are alot less safe

I think it looks like fun. My friend has a Jeep Wrangler and it is so cool when the doors are off, plus it gives you better visibility when climbing over rocks and stuff.

I know plenty of dumb engineers, want their phone numbers to discuss ideas with them? Have you TALKED to a Ford engineer to validate your claims by chance? Not sayin you are wrong, I'm truly interested if you have researched that or just tossing it out there....

Here is my view... Even if it is part of the roof structure, by the time you hit something hard enough I would imagine you are already in a REALLY bad wreck.. I'd feel safer runnin no doors than no seat belt. I've seen one fatality due to no seat belt (out the top of the jeep) and a second one pending (old car steering wheel, blunt force). So who knows, to each their own, he has done NOTHING to jeopardize anyone but himself and those in the truck with him, and even then I don't see them being in that much danger.... Gonna be a bad wreck I would think to wrinkle the roof and by that time blunt force trama is a big problem too

edit: What's next, who is gonna bag him for no front bumper? I would see that as even more dangerous, but NO one is complaining bout it... Any takers? Anyone...

why do i need more money than brains to take the ****ing doors off for the night and have some fun?

this isn't the first dumb **** comment i've got from your ***.
if i want to pull the doors when its in the teens outside.. let me pull the ****in doors, and i twisted the truck up pretty good a few times offroad that night... guess what still fits perfect? my doors!

i dont care if your GOING to be an engineer.. i have an understanding on how that stuff works too.
i understand it wasn't the safest thing to do.. but let me worry about that.. it was my *** in the truck

i was actually contemplating taking my doors off and making some half doors, id prolly run a 4pt cage through it though to atleast stiffen it up some what, i would think even adding that 3-4in on the bottom shud stiffen it up to some degree

Have you ever seen a truck roll? It will crush real quick even with the doors on.. A good roll and its a pancake, even in a jeep those factory "roll bars" don't offer much protection!

ok guys, pull out your peckers and see whos is bigger or stop b1tchin about how safe it is or isnt, how stress effects it... who gives a ****. its not your truck, you arent affected by it.

and if he rolls the truck for some reason... he has an easy escape route now.
