contemplated new mod..finally did it... pics inside

well. finally gettin some pics up for you guys. i ended up rhino lining my rear bumper... originaly its supposed to be color matched, but due to getting hit in the rear i had to buy a new one. so a few months back i found a chrome rear bumper off craigs list for 30 bucks... the chrome really didnt go well with my truck, so i contemplated this rhino lining idea for a little while and finally went ahead and did it. i snapped these pics for you guys real quick at one of my jobs.

in the proccess of prepping the bumper i had to remove my bumper pads/covers and i noticed a little surface rust(not bad at all.) so i sanded it down and sprayed a little rustoleum rust prevention on it.. then i sanded down the chrome for a good amount of time using the roughest texture i could fine. all went well, then on to applying the liner.

came out pretty good IMO.

anyways on with the pics, let me know what you think..

.....ALSO THE LAST PICTURES I POSTED A FEW WEEKS BACK I HAD THE 265/75 M/T'S ON. THESE CURRENT PICTURES ARE WITH THE NEW 285/75 M/T'S, havent posted pics yet with the new 285's.....

I like the custom body work.
Must have been a lot of work to make the Ranger have all of those extra line and curves.
Funny it sort of looks like a Toy…

The rear bumper with the bed liner on it looks good too.

thanks ty, means a lot. i love what you have done with your truck! i too, also thought about painting my wheels black, and paint the very thin "ring" around the rim red to match the color of my truck. i may just end up doing that, i have been toying with that idea for a while now. who knows maybe i just needed you, or someone, to also suggest it. THANKS!

also, i appreciate all of your comments so far. thank you.

maybe throw the liner down, then put a light coat of DSG over it, so it still has the texture, but at the same time having the exact color you want/need. just a thought. not sure how successful that would be, but its a good idea. the liner works/looks great, helps with rust, and very solid. say you bump into something. seems somewhat scratch resistant. also my rear bumper is high off the ground, so when stepping up onto the bumper it gives me solid traction.

Thank you, ya she is so adorable, and very playful, and as a kitten she does the cutest things. she is a "Coc ky" little girl though, dont think she realizes how small she is. haha. she likes to tease our other kitten(male) and she flaunts her self and likes to tease him. The cutest thing happend earlier, Reo(male kitten, reo is shot for oreo, as he is black and white) maci (her name) was sleeping on the big couch next to me and reo came up and started cleaning (licking) her back and her head. it was the damn cutest thing. hah

again, thank you all for the positive feedback and great comments so far.

i had a ranger. look in my avatar. i still come here because i enjoy it. great group of people on this forum. i always have had positive feedback when posting pictures of my truck here. i didnt find it to be a "serious" issue(otherwise i wouldnt post here) which backs up my point about being a great group of guys/girls aboard this forum. yes 99% of the members on this forum own rangers, but on top of being ranger enthusiasts, they are truck enthusiasts as well. and im sure are open to checking out a former ranger owners truck, whether it be a tacoma, when i do something that i feel they may have interest in checking out.

but maybe you can help me with something knoxville, what is your problem with me showing them something that i have done to my truck. what i did, is not just a "tacoma" modifiction anyone can do it, thus the reason i shared with all of them. if i recall i am pretty sure one mentioned, "you gave me ideas" which is why i posted this idea i came acoss, and ended up doing .. do you feel like the odd one out, because you seem to be the only one to start this "oh this is just a ranger forum" issue.

anyways, i am done ranting, as i hope you got my point and are able to grasp where i am coming from, that would be mucho appreciated... good day.

and to all others, i really do appreciate all your "POSITIVE" comments and feedback thus far. i truly thank you.

thanks again.
mike
