okay, whatever. my point is that you are wasting money on the 1-1/8" pin and 1" D-ring, when it's being held in check by something smaller than that.

Sweet Justin! I want to put a front hitch on my F250 AND my Ranger now Lol. The Ranger because its 2wd and doesnt have tow hooks, and the 250 because it doesnt have tow hooks......

Those do look beefy, and the truck looks good!

Not to bring it back up...but....you can see the bumper lift brackets in the pic...and you can see that front crossmember in the pics....something that is not seen on a non-BL'd truck...

no your right, but there isnt anything that is gonna pull that out. i suppose it could but that pin is good for 5000lbs give or take, and by the time he snaps that pin something else would break anyway.

So if that 5/8inch pin is grade 8, it'll shear at ~28,000pounds of force, so yeah, everything after that is definitely overbuilt, haha, but it looks sweet!!

Looks like it was made by John Deere . . . I like it!

Thicker than the 3-point hitch on our JD 4440.

the hooks may be beefy, but the ranger frame that the hitch is attached to isn't

All I have to say is these things weigh a ton and are super beefy. I've seen them and held them.

That's what I was thinkin'.

A 5/8" pin might hold 5000 lbs, even the bolts to the frame (depending on how many bolts were used) might hold 8000 lbs, but the frame itself will probably rip before anything else does.

Still.... nice D ring. Looks like something Tim (the tool man) Taylor would build (arrrgh, arrrgh, arrrrgh)
