So i go to the muffler shop because i had a broken cat and no muffler he tells me 155 cash okay sounds good to me that was tuesday i go there today and he asked me how much he said it was gonna be i told him you said 110 for the cat and 45 for the muffler=155 he says sounds right.Go there during my lunch break to pick up the truck and he tells me it was 255 not 155 i said he was f$%#$%^ crazy. Im only 18 he thought he could screw me because im young what he didnt realize is that ive been working on fords since i was three, people just **** me off. In the end the sleeze ball had no choice but to take my 155 so my lesson never go to alexander city alabama's muffler shop.

hahah "working" on cars when you were 3? meaning you sat around and bugged your dad while HE worked on them?

and working on "fords" has absolutely nothing to do with why he may or may not have intentionally tried to make a few extra bucks.

.
I was three when I started working on cars. I didn't bug my dad. I handed him the wrenches he asked for. If I got the wrong size,he showed me.
I held the trouble light for him , handed him tools , and handed him parts when he pointed them out to me.
Best education I ever could ask for.

Thanks Dad , I still remember what you taught me.

Yeah. The world is getting more and more like that. People for some reason can't make an honest living anymore. Congrats on getting him and not letting him screw you. He's probably done it several times already.

OTRtech didn't say he was 18, Paul Spickard said HE was 18.

Sounds like my experience with tires plus. I stopped in there to get my alignment done. I was quoted $135 for 3 years unlimited alignments. Dropped the truck off came back 2 hours later and they wanted $350. They decided to replace the alignment cams that I put in myself the night before. I work for a tire shop and when ever there is going to be an extra charge or something on the work order changes, I make sure to contact the owner and get the go ahead. To me its the right way to do business.

I know where detroid lakes is!

I got screwed by the only "decent" fab shop in Austin.. He said $150 to put the 9" under it, I ended up paying $400 and they got it in all crooked so I ended up centering it/correcting the pinion angle on my own.

Paul, the guy that tried to screw you doesn't care about your age or experience. He was just trying to screw you. Probably tries it with everyone.

Pulled into Sooner Tire and parked on top of a 7up can with LF tire and waited in showroom for alignment. 45 mins later I was told my alignment was finished and I owed $59.95, when I was quoted $49.95 just 45 mins earlier. Walked out to truck...LF tire was still parked on top of 7up can, truck never even moved. Those guys are absolute jerks.
