Do you run Firefox? If so, get Ad Block Plus, should fix all that

 

The problem is when Im at work, I dont know what browser they use.

 

I'm with you on this.
Being on dial-up is bad enough , but running FF with Ad-block helps a bunch.
I have not seen the ads these guys are talking about.
Mayhaps I'm missing out on some good stuff ?

 

No your not, it take 10 extra seconds for the damn page to load with all the ads. My life is wasting away.

And no its not my internet. Work internet is fast as hell....

 

It becomes a cycle. more ad blocking. more ads get placed. more the affiliates change their urls to bypass adblock less control we as forum owners have on the content they deliver. at the end of the day this site will not exist without supporters and ads.

I am not familiar with any ranger sites that dont run advertisements that sustain any amount of users and dont have some sort of support system.

If you want to promote adblock, do it by PM please as you are only hurting the site. Otherwise spend the 4 cents a day and support the site, you even get decals which after mailing and the decals is about 2 cents a day you put towards this site for ads free and other perks.

Also consider that routing / dns issues may plague poor / slow ad connections. I have had days where i was plagued which i posted before but so far so good. % wise, I would say 1% of the time overall i have had slow loads due to ads.
