Maurice's departure (Lifted97Ranger). Please read before starting a new thread
Maurice (lifted97Ranger) has been permanently banned from R-F as of 6/17/08. While he has been a source for lots of useful information in the past, he has had this unfortunate action coming for quite some time now. Maurice has quite literally been asking for it for almost a year. A lot of what he did to bring this upon himself is not visible to the general membership which is why this may be a surprise to many of you. It is in fact a huge loss of valuable technical information and that is unfortunate. It is in posts/threads that have been removed due to the violations or it is in many many PM's that only the individual recipients can see. However, there is probably more than enough still visible in threads that are locked or died off if you feel compelled to search. Maurice is also well aware of why this has taken place even if he claims it was a total shock. It should also be noted that this was an administration decision, not that of any moderator.
It is very unfortunate to lose a member with a wealth of knowledge, but participation in any forum is a two way street. He wanted to take up both lanes and run all the stop signs. It can only go on so long before something had to give.
I made this post with the hope that it will answer many of your questions without starting a bunch of new "what happened to Maurice" threads. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you all understand that this wouldn't be done if it wasn't necessary and thought out.
