Staff, recently I've noticed classified ads meeting all rules listed, and there is no sold post. Why the lock?

Members, when you post a classified ad, please update the thread saying the item is sold....THEN follow the prompts when the item is sold. It closed the thread, changes the title to say [sold], and sends a PM to all those whom posted in the thread telling them the item has sold. I don't know about ya'll, but when a ad is closed, I assume it's been sold and I don't even bother contacting.

Unless is was closed for some other reason???

Members can close the thread whenever they want which was probably the case with the one you posted. If we (mods/admins) close a thread we post up why we are closing it.

Shane, that thread is marked as sold. They never show as sold in the thread, only on the main page.

 

Well it bumps something to the top that is no longer available. It would be nice to see in the thread, but I don't think it is necessary.

 

When a thread is marked as sold it remains in the same page position unless the OP makes another post.
