Well, been working on the truck the last week or so...
Taking the bolts out to remove the bed:
Sanded the roof and got it ready for paint:
Primed:
Painted pics. further down.
Removed the bed, 5 bolts came out easy, one had to be cooked:
Purty aint it?
Today I painted the rear frame/undercarriage and the bumpers:
All put together with painted roof and bumpers(still need to get it running though):
UGA tag mounted:
Painted roof:
First time I've had the license plate mounted

Cool little truck! Reminds me of my old 87 I turbo-ed. I have built lots of 2.0/2.3 carb and efi motors so if you need any help or tips feel free to ask!
I built a sweet 84 2.0 for my kids first ride years ago. I swapped in a 2.3 from a 89 Mustang, used a Pinto intake,300cfm Autolite carb off my 70 Torino,Motorsport cam sprocket, header,Esslinger fuel pump & distributor,Ranger Roller cam and that little turd kicked ***!

$500 and it's yours!
UPDATE:
Carb has been rebuilt and the choke has been replaced It ran well for me the night I put the new choke in. I took it out for about 40 mile drive and I thought all was good. I went to drive it a couple days later and saw that it was smoking a little bit so now I have to work on that. I just don't feel like working on it the the cold garage.

The seal between the bed and the cap was bad and worked its way out of place so it needed to be redone + I wanted to see what my truck would look like lifted w/out the cap. I had the cap on there since it was stock height.
