TrePaul86's SAS Build-up

In all honesty, if Im ever working on front suspension, I tend to take a bunch of blocks of wood and stack them up under the crossmember as well as having the jacks there - never hurts to be extra safe when working under the engine (literally)

Yeah I'm gonna push it forward about 2"... we're kinda on hold right now for the day. The guy that cut my front hangar cut it too short or gave me the wrong one cut for a toyota... kinda bummed today about that. Can't really set steering up or mock up the axle until the springs are in. Looks like tomorrow I'm gonna be visiting Off Road Components to see about just having it swapped for a full size hangar. Center to center on my hangar I have is 28-7/8" and I needs to be 31-1/8" for the axle... Damnit.

I could get that from work for free.. why buy it? Lol
I could have made one, yes... But I liked the way his hangars look and he's a good guy and a local fab shop (young too) so im doing him a favor by supporting him over say trail-gay and he's doing me a favor by fabbin me a sweet front hangar for my build... ya know? Plus its hard to build one, personally, with my schedule. I don't get much free time and our laser at work is always in use for other clients parts...

I just searched "dad" and "engineer" and this is what I got:
Ford Ranger Forum - The Ultimate Ford Ranger Resource - Search Results
HAHAHA good times, and you know that's not even all of the threads it's been referenced it.
Truck looks good Tre. What did you use to get the front suspension off? You have to use a angle grinder or were you blessed with a torch?

Luckily we had 2 plasma cutters at our disposal... That made everything easy. That's how we had the whole front end torched off last night in a matter of about 4 hours... If you had to grind that all out, I couldn't imagine how long that would have taken!
But no, we used a plasma and then we went to town with a few hard stone discs and then a few 40 grit sanding wheels on the grinders... Took no time at all. Now the hard part is basically over with... It's all a matter of fitting things up and making a few brackets and what not.
