Steven's 4wd to 2wd Frame Swap
Well Had Some Complainers So It will be all in this thread....
Reason For the frame swap
mine is bent and i'm not wasting anytime with it...tired if having to alter the suspension to make the truck sit level...the frame rail on the passenger side sits 2inches higher than the driverside
take a close look to this pic
2 weeks ago i had this

If you can work on a truck at this level, you can conceivably keep it "forever". I'm going to keep my Ranger as long as I'm physically able to work on it and keep it rolling. I'm getting more mechanical skills all the time so it's looking possible to just keep building this truck as my needs change.
It's a nice place to be.
Very ambitious job you've taken on. I'm impressed with your progress!

hah, not to blow any bubbles.. but I woudl have almsot seen if someone coudl have come out and sprayed the ENTIRE cab, inside and out with that paint job yhou are wanting.. when it was all off That way they coudl have hit all the engine bay and perhaps even ran some sound deadening on the firewall side and all underneath it..
Oh well though, damn impressive on doing that cab by yourself, those thigns weigh a crapload, not to mention its still got the windshield on it

Well thanks guys.....Mike im keeping the truck close to the same color because i love it so thats why it hasn't been sprayed yet...
technically the truck is still 4wd minus the front differential...im keeping the t-case and tranny attached because later on in life i want to sas but right now i don't have the means to do so

Awesome.. good to go! I always wished I had a red ranger :-_( They look pretty damn sharp with black rims eitehr raised or lowered *sigh*
its fantastic how fast your working on this.. I honestly don't have enough technical knowledge or wrench time in a ranger to do near that much.. I'm sure I could unhook everything and pull it all out.. but putting it back in.. hah, yeah, I fail on that

unhook the trans cooler
un hook the a/c condensor and radiator
unhook the e-brake cable
under cab harness
t-case if 4wd
auto trans shifter linkage
air intake tube
disconnect a/c hose from blower box
detach the abs unit on the driverside fender well
detach battery
unplug ECM thing in the engine bay
disconnect either the brake lines off the booster or pull the booster assembly
disconnect accelerator cable
any amp wires or anything you have added that goes from the frame to body
disconnect the engine ground off firewall and under cab ground
thats all i can think of right now
