Skid Installed! I love the look, contruction... everything about it! Very thick and high quality, i wont be worried for my front cross member or radiator out on the trails now! Next step of armour; Rock Sliders!

I havent gotten the front hitch welded in yet but i did throw it on the front of my buddies jeep and wire her up for a tester. Line speed is not to slow (parking lot winching), its a little noisy but not a bad noise, just the hum of the motor... The real test will be when im out on the trails... Ordered tires/wheels tonight so within a month, lift, tires, wheels the whole shabang will be on!

I've been thinking about trying one of those RCI skids...I just can't find any decent stock skids around here.

I would definitely say go for it! It is solid as could be and looks great on the truck! Haven't nailed any stumps or rocks with it yet but im %100 sure it will hold up wonderfully!

My buddy has a set on his Jeep too, but 35's also and theyre unstoppable! I took out all the bolts on one side of the truck to messure them, but ran into a few problems... I got all 3 bed bolts out (running down the passenger side) 2 cab bolts, and then could not get the one in the front behind the headlight housing out because it was rusted on there too good... Also, shouldnt there be 7 bolts running down each side? Making a total of 14 bolts all together? I purchased 14 spacers because that how many came in the 3" kits (Remember im doing a 2"). Do you know where this mystery bolt could be??? Thanks!

I'm pretty sure they give you two extra blocks. I had two extra when mine was all said and done. They could be for long bed rangers if those exist? thats awesome though glad to hear your making progress on the lift. keep at it, they can be a pain if you don't have all the proper tools.

okay phew! I spent almost an hour crawling under the truck looking every inch for another set of bushing! all the bolts were tight, especially the torx bed bolts (have 3 extra torx just incase) but nothing a breaker bar wont fix... and the front bolts i could not get out i am just going to cut i just didnt want to do that until the day of the life... other than that im ready to go!

i was all set up, compresseor and everything ready to go and i ran to home depot to get the new bolts... nothing longer than 100mm, then tried lowes, autozone, a machine shop in town and a hardware store down the street.. nothing longer than 100mm... so i ordered them online and they should be arriving Monday! so many speed bumps its driving me crazy!

In the mean time to keep me busy, i pulled out the jump seat and all the plastics in the cab to make it accessible for when i lift it. I also degreased and cleaned the engine bay and compartment, and did a power steering fluid flush while i was in there!

The day has finally come! Wheels, Tires, Lift kit, its all here! I have everything ready to go for Saturday/Sunday to lift her, mount the tires and hopefully install some other little things such as my new toolbox. Wheels and Lift came in today... Ultra Crushers 3.75 Backspacing -19mm offset, 4.5x5 bolt pattern of course... They're gorgeous!

AMEN!

Finally, the weekend has come to an end and the baby has now been jacked up 3" and had some 33"s thrown under here! Everything went decently smooth, aside from the whole learning curve and all... oh and working in rain/nastyness all day. Unfortunately it was raining AND dark when i finished up so the photos didnt turn out that well, but ill be sure to have a nice photo shoot sometime this week! I ended up taking off the whole bed, because the lock to the spare was jammed, so i just took off the bed, sanded everything down and gave her a few coats of black paint, looks Great! Unfortunatley the bolts holding the rear bumper on were so rusted the heads were practically gone and i couldnt get our grinder in there to cut em off, nor could i pry them out so this week our local shop is gonna take care of them and put the brackets on the bumper while there welding on the front hitch! and then when it warms up one day ill be spraying in my raptor liner and installing the toolbox!
here are some of the pics i got! sorry for the quality!

sweeeet, so you'll be putting the bumper relocation brackets on when you do the front hitch? now you just need to paint your frame too lol looks good though, congrats on finally getting it done. and word of advise, i did my bedliner myself in 50-60 degree weather and it didn't dry hard enough. i'd wait till the spring if you want it to last. mine is already messed up so i'm gonna have to redo it in the spring.

thanks guys! i think shes going in thursday for the front hitch and everything and yes, the bumper brackets will be fixed up, there on right now, they just havent been adjusted correctly and what not because i knew they would be taking the bumper off anyways... it gets dark so early, by the time im home from school its like 430 and already getting dark, urg! and thank you for the advice on the bedliner! Do you know the shelf life on the kit? cause i had a plan to just throw a heater in the garage and spray it in there and keep it warm in there for like 72 hours.
